I now have proof that OleWarSkuleAlum does NOT own an aircraft of any kind.

I know his name and it does not appear on the FAA Registry....No one with his last name owns a plane either

FAA Registry that I cross checked

yeah, to get those numbers they probably took off with no one and nothing in it, put just enough gas to get up there and right back down, that thing would take half a state to make it to 310

I have no idea if the OP is lying or not.

However, I know quite a few aircraft owners. Almost all have an LLC that is listed as the owner.

Not finding his name is not really proof of anything.

I don’t have a dog in the fight and I know nothing about owning a plane, but if you are flying other passengers outside of yourself and family then are most planes not owned in something like an LLC or 3rd party entity?

Ever flown one?

With a $7 million+ price tag. I would say it pretty much has to do what they say it will.

I feel cramped in anything smaller than an 8 seater.

I have a 2018 SR22T. When I picked it up I looked at the SF50s, and talked to some owners. The two outside back seats had 50 pound maximums. Fairly useless. The range is not very good. The plane can only make about 800 Nm legs consistently. And the ambient noise is so loud that you pretty much have to wear headsets.

The plane is so expensive that it brings too many other planes into the conversation. I can buy a used TBM 900 for that and get a much more useful plane. The SF50 DOES have nice ramp appeal, though.

you may want to check the SOS website in the state that he lives to see if his name is listed under an LLC

love how Cirrus made a “personal” jet one that’s made to be flown by the owner and not by professional pilots.

Probate lawyers that cater to high net worth individuals are very happy about this.

I’m just not sure what the market is for these types of jets. Eclipse already tried this and failed miserably.

I’m not a fan of the SF50 (see post above), but the Eclipse is a very different plane than the SF50. The Eclipse is a piece of shite. If the SF50 can be modified to cut down on ambient noise and extend the range by 150 Nm, I think it will make it and be a game changer. I’d buy one. That’s a tall order, though.

By the time you drive to the airport, get fuel, preflight, weather checks etc you're already behind a driving trip by a few hours.

Not so. It takes me 3 hours and 30 minutes door to door to fly Southwest to my office in Houston. It takes 3 hours and 15 minutes door to door in my SR22T. That’s Lakefront airport to Sugarland (KSGR) and ubers on both ends.

I get to wake up without an alarm, leave whenever I want, and I enjoy the whole experience. If I wrap up in Houston by 1 PM on the day I’m leaving, I just call the FBO and leave - no waiting for a previously scheduled flight. I flight plan and file in about 5 to 10 minutes unless there is very sketchy weather. Then I review NOTAMS and weather on the uber ride. I’m wheels up 30 minutes after the uber drops me off, so about 50 minutes behind a car ride.

but most of us never travel to places you can't get to via commercial

That’s because commercial is your only option. I fly into little airports right next to Yosemite, The Grand Canyon, Fredericksburg, TX, etc.

there's always something around. You'd be amazed how many cropduster or grass strip airfields there are. Even shows private strips.

My plane has an irregular line demarking the glide range at all times. There are many times in which there is no airport close enough.

It's a long shot, but if it works, Raptor will cost $130,000 and do everything and more of a $750,000 SR22. IF it works (and that's a big IF), it will change general aviation big time.

If they can bring it in close to that price point and show that it’s safe I’m definitely in.

That black Mamba helicopter that Kobe was pictured with a ton was maybe the coolest looking personal aircraft that I've ever seen. It's not the one he died in BTW.
