It’s would cheaper, WAY cheaper, to give the 2-3 people per route that actually use the buses to get to work a preloaded Uber or Lyft card. Get rid of 80% of the buses and drivers, the drivers would have no problem finding work driving trucks (where there’s a real shortage). And an even bigger positive is that we would have less mug shots of the Shyster’s Hall of Fame to look at.

Perkins road? Are you talking about the baseball fields across the street from Highland road park? Those fields are absolute dog shite, filled with ants, the grass doesn't get cut unless you complain, the lights to the fields don't work half the time, and the bathrooms are permanently locked. Not to mention, the fields themselves, are a safety hazard for kids to play on with all the holes.
And, despite it being completely tax payer funded, you have to pay someone at BREC for each time you want to use the field.
Same gripe i have for BREC on burbank. We pay a shite load of money to BR Soccer Club for our kid to practice out there and i'm curious how much of the $350-375/kid goes to BREC "administrator" to launder?

I pointed out that the school system is a scam on us taxpayers because of the fricked up bus system, the ridiculous leadership, and the fact that almost every school in this parish has become a glorified daycare for parents of kids age 4-17.
I am not going to show up to your kid's school to confiscate library books and I barely consider myself Christian.
But since you mentioned it, there is no such thing as a "trans kid". The sooner you come to that reality, the sooner some of your anger may go away.

The phucking Sewer Use Tax.
This was passed during the 1980s because of a EPA mandate .
One of my civil engineering professors would bitch about this tax not being needed constantly.
The fee keeps increasing and I see no evidence of any sewer improvement work taking place in the damn parish. In fact it appears that the ‘new’ south treatment facility is not being maintained as it should be.
This tax needs to go away yesterday. Where the Hell is this money going to? Someone’s personal slush fund?

No, I'm talking about Perkins @ Kenilworth... and as far as the Highland Road park I'm speaking about the main part with the tennis courts, splash pad, indoor recreation facility, frisbee golf course and jogging trail.

Up the hill is way better than the bottoms.
Now that they cleared Bayou Fountain there BREC needs to improve the ball fields there and make them suitable for teams to practice.

BREC is every bit as bad as the rest. Selling off properties to sleazy developers, will not convince me some money didn’t go into personal accounts. Escaped scrutiny for years bc Collis Temple was involved, and any poking around their little operation brought out Dale Brown and the rest of the racist screamers.
It’s been years since we’ve had any real investigative reporters in this market, the only one we’ve had got fired for going after BRPD and our idiot Mayor
