Don’t see near as many riding around my neighborhood. All the kids have dirt bikes, scooters, or mini bikes.

I bet there’s a lot of regrets spending $10-15k on a golf cart just to keep up with the Joneses that’s no longer needed.

No, it’s just moved into side-by-sides and e-bikes.

Nothing has changed out here, we still see just as many golf carts however we live in a golfing community. What we have noticed less of is the younger kiddos driving them.

I think it’s been a law that have to have a drivers license to legally operate a golf cart in a main thoroughfare … however, the cops out here have been pretty cool as long as the kids were being responsible they haven’t pulled them over, but I guess that’s been changing lately from what I’ve been hearing from other Parents.

We bought our Club Car a little before the big craze when our kids were in 7th grade.

We sold it a couple years ago when they got their licenses and cars for same amount I paid at the height of the cart craze.

I wouldn’t worry about the neighbors and their golf carts. They probably get two first class upgrades and don’t leave their wife in coach.

Out in the country the carts are bought used, not souped up and are really useful for getting around acreage. (It's faster than saddling a horse.)

My kid got in early on this. They are fun ngl. Also as an early teen, taught him the basics about tinkering and upgrading small engines. Good fun all around.

Sold mine for what I paid for it after 7 years. Replaced the batteries after 5 years so it cost me < $100 per year to own it.

Bought a SxS.

My neighbor across the street has his parked in the garage and hasn’t moved for months. I know for a fact he took out a loan to buy it. I imagine they’re hard to offload at this point.

Guy doesn’t even play golf. I told the wife the other day that I’m willing to bet he’s losing his arse on that thing.

Sorry you missed out on the golf cart phase bro. It was pretty sweet. It’s not too late to get a standard golf cart and finally enjoy your life.

No one should be cool with kids driving them, that shows a great lack of awareness on the danger. A bad accident will happen.
