Is the DMV the worst place on earth?

Just got a house and needed to go get a new drivers license. Place opened at 8am. Arrived at 7:59am. They had 40 people standing outside the building to get in 
Finally get inside after 30 minutes and they said they are doing last names T-Z today.. If your last name isn’t T-Z you have to come back on your designated day or you can get put on a waiting list and they will call you after they service everyone for the day. AKA they may call you at 4:30pm right before close. So I add my name to the list, and they said wait in your vehicle, we will call you when its your turn. I walk outside only to notice 30-35 vehicles with people inside of them “waiting” . Just got in my truck and left. Guess I’ll keep my old license until 2023
I can’t fathom how someone could want people like this to be in charge of healthcare.

If so this is part of JBE’s mandates about the # of people in a lobby type area
If there is a wait at a restaurant you have to wait in your car

Social Security office is worse IMHO.
Had to go with the wife right after we got married and she had to get everything switched to her new name. NEVER want to repeat that experience again.

One I go to is pretty great. Lines usually aren't bad at all. 5 minutes is about the longest I've waited.
