Like if an 11 yr old boy saw Demolition Man in 93, went into a coma for 30 years, then woke up and somebody told him to design a vehicle.
This is so spot on it should be included with the cybertruck definition

Kinda crazy that an automobile has panels held on with glue.

Good luck trying to sell that knowing how quickly it depreciates.

I see a surprising number of them. They’re all over the place around Houston

I am seeing them in rural NorthLa and SouthArk. If they are selling in this area I don’t know if it’s going to be a flop.

It's basically a concept vehicle you'd see at car shows but actually put into production. Don't think it has much of a chance to really turn profitable.
The actually put in production part was what was surprising. They seem to sell off the production line quickly almost like they are built to order. Outside of this press I kind of looked at it more as marketing Tesla as still being the futuristic brand as more EV vehicles came out.

Not really all that new. Corvettes have always used variations of adhesives for attaching the bodies and the third gen Camaros had a production change that added the use of structural adhesives in the unibody to stiffen the chassis.
Body shops have been using adhesives in place of welding for a while as well.

I still don’t understand why anyone would buy that ugly thing other than to intentionally look like a douche bag. It’s the modern H2.
H2s are actual trucks at least.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous automobile ever designed and manufactured.

So it's a stupid looking formica countertop with electric motors.

Adhesives are quite common in the auto industry even in the body-in-white assembly stage. A good example is where an aluminum part is attached to a steel one which can't be welded. In the past they would be bolted together but adhesive joints can be superior. Not only do they reduce fatigue stress by spreading the forces over a larger area they also reduce or eliminate corrosion in the joint. This are just a simple example but lots of cars have major structural joints held together by adhesives, it ain't the glue stick you ate in kindergarten.

I seem to be in the minority in that I don’t make someone else’s car choice about me.
