I'll be honest I probably would have had it with me had I remembered. But once I got inside and got my seat I didn't feel like going back for it. It allowed an eye-opening experience that I will now no longer bring my phone in a place I should be social

Technology is a helpful conversation starter. Watch longer. People talk about what they come across in their mobile devices, what others are emailing and texting them about, and so on.

O actually went back to a blackberry for a long time. Had the little keyboard so I could text the wife.
It was awesome. Then Verizon cut off 3g support and into a drawer it went....
All you can buy is smart phones. All I really need is to text, A calendar, and a phone to make calls.
If my wife brings hers when we go places I don't even take mine. I enjoy life without it tbh
I check it on the shutter like I am now. Then it goes back to the counter. I do spend a lot of time on the shitter though since they took my colon out. So it is nice to have something to read.

Yes, I was, but I like to actually talk to people. Usually, I talk to the bartenders wherever I am bit occasionally I'll butt i to others conversation.

I see people on their phones a lot, but most seem to still interact with those they’re with. I don’t think it should be expected for a stranger to interact with someone they don’t know. Sometimes you just wanna dick off on the internet and not be bothered by anyone, ya know?

If you go to a bar and don't look at your phone constantly, people think you're weird. IMHO, it's just a way for them to go into their own little, comfortable world when they get the slightest bit bored or uncomfortable. It's also a way to keep from having to talk to someone when you have social anxiety.

The people constantly stuck in their phones probably aren’t the best conversations anyways.
With so many lame people stuck in their phones, it’s easier to figure out who the people are that are interesting.

See it all the time, everywhere. Bars, restaurants, walking down the street oblivious to their surroundings and the ones that I don't understand are the folks that head out to see a live sporting event and sit in the stands glued to their cellphone instead of watching the game.

Yes and it sucks. If you ever make it a point to either leave your phone behind or ignore it, you will notice ever other person consumed by their own little device.
