I may be visiting there in a few months for work.

Lock your doors, pull down your cap, and sit low in the seat.

Not even close to Southern.
OP, I wouldn't leave anything in the car, if you catch my drift.

Kind of really is the worst.

No. It rests along the beautiful bank of the Mississippi River nestled amongst a gorgeously green nature scenery.
Why?
Why?

Did you really just ask that? You better buy life insurance before your trip.

I do not recommend you stay in a hotel/extended stay anywhere close to SU.
I'd look in Zachary if you want quiet, or college drive if you want things to do during your stay. You'll face some traffic issues but since you're taking I-110 and not the MR Bridge, you'll be OK.

Got a buttload of Jag tickets to scalp?
Good luck with that.

Southern is OK....... I play golf across the street from time to time...
Don't really want to be there too long after dark though...
You will be OK during the daylight hours.
ETA: Nevermind. I'm thinking SUNO, not Southern in BR.

This, the campus itself is beautiful.

The Southern campus overlooking the river is absolutely beautiful

The core of Southern's campus overlooking the river is breathtaking, that part is cooler than any other campus in the state.
