There is a PBS one called "Why Louisiana ain't Mississippi or anyplace else!"

Really enjoyed it

Anybody have any good menu ideas for a Kentucky Derby party? TIA
Everyday being married is not sunshine and rainbows. Marriage takes work but if you have the right person, it isn't all that hard.

re: Bad strip club experiences

Two memorable stories:

1) Went to strip club in Pineville area. Walked in and grabbed a seat. There was no stage, no dj. Just a jukebox. There was a stripper pole in the middle of the floor. Pregnant girl dancing just going down to bra and panties. After the song finished, she walked around with a basket asking the guys to contribute to her dance.

2) Lived in Lake Charles. My cousin came for my 30th birthday. Took me to a place called Geaux Geauxs on a Tuesday night. Walked in and there was a 50's something swinging in a hoop on stage. She weighed easily 250. Cousin gets a table dance for me since they didn't allow lap dances from a cute chick. While she is up on the table dancing, she starts crying. Turns out she just turned 18 and was her first night working. So when we hear "The lapdance is so much better when the stripper is crying" by the Bloodhound Gang, we always get a chuckle!!

re: Nursing home talk

Golden Age and Harvest Manor in Denham Springs are two of the better run places. My wife inspects nursing homes for the state and she said as much.
The word like, as in "like oh my god...he just like threw up like all over the place."

Another one is a phrase..."you know what I'm saying?"

I wouldn't say that I have a relationship with my ex in-laws but I do see them from time to time to pick up my daughter if she is visiting with them. We are cordial with each other. Now my parents still have a solid relationship with my ex-wife. Doesn't really bother me as it is what's good for my daughter. Kids bring a whole different aspect to the situation that has to be dealt with on an individual basis. No kids....depends on whether you want to continue said relationship or not.

"Like totally!!"

Although it's hard not hearing "like" every other word these days
