So back when I graduated and accepted a job, I used my signing bonus to buy a bed and desk from IKEA.

Now that Im married, I wanted to upgrade those items and suggested getting more expensive items at IKEA. My wife didnt agree with this telling me IKEA is trashy.

Is she right or am I getting tricked into spending more of her money?

It's not trashy but it's not classy either.

You have to build all your furniture with your bare hands for it not to be trashy.

Have fun being married to her. I’ve never been to one in the states but the IKEA here is awesome.

It’s perfect until you get married.

After that, you don’t want particle board box furniture.

But they do have a lot of cool gizmo’s and accessories.

That was her logic. Since we are married, a 600$ bed isnt good enough anymore.

If the wife says an IKEA bed is trashy, you gotta do what the wife says, unless you want the bed to be both trashy and cold as a witch's tit.

It's a bit trashy for a married adult to have a lot of IKEA

She's giving you a subtle hint that now that she's married her weights about to blow up and needs a sturdy well built bed

Not trashy, but not really where I’d think to go if upgrading is the goal. It’s more like apartment furniture.

Isn't Ikea kind of Hipster type place, so how can that be trashy?

I know one thing, they have cheap arse breakfast there. Eggs, sausage, hashbrown for like 1.29.

Never been there, drive by it 3 days a week, and always say, damn that breakfast looks good and cheap. but never stop
