The highland location is the only one I go to and most of the time we choose not to b/c of the lines. In the 90's I ate there once a week...now maybe once a year.

People can try to play the race card all day, but it's a tired tactic. Society is becoming numb to it, especially when you have less than credible people always yelling the loudest.

General Lee statue wishes this was the case.

I stopped going to Sammy's when they put a Chimes on Coursey. Now with Willie's close by as well, there's no way I'll drive out to Highland just to wait like all the sheep do over there.

Also, didn't Willie's have some kind of "incident" not that long ago when it became apparent they're not gonna take any bullshite? Seems like I remember something about it here. Yet another reason to give business to someone who isn't gonna fall on their sword for the wrong people.

Yeah, some lady came in trying to scam them for a free or discounted meal, they told her to pay and get fricked, then she turned it into a race ordeal because they didn't bend the knee.

The sad part is that they had to create a policy because people like her tried to pull that shite 20x a day.

Why go to Sammys when willies exists?

Agreed. The only Sammy's I would go to is the Pville location since it is close to the house, BUT it is by far the worst Sammy's location from the food to the horrible service. Willies has some very good food and actually put some effort into their dishes, and even has some creativity instead of the same old shite that every place has. Sammy's can't even get the same old shite right.

I admittedly have been to Willie's only 4 or 5 times, but I never left with the feeling that it was any better than Sammy's. I always felt that the food was right at the same level.

No, Sammy's here has a few locations all in or around Baton Rouge.

Not the same as in Texas.

I think there are locations in Zachary, Central, Prairieville, and Highland Rd. in BR.

I'm sure someone can correct that.
