You totally misunderstood my post. I’m in no ways defending the practice of marrying teen girls. I was only saying it was common centuries ago. There are many things, this particular one being high on the list, that were common then that is absolutely abhorrent and I’m glad do not go on now.

In no way did I nor ever will, advocate or support lowering the age of consent. After what I went though in my youth, I’m a firm advocate for allowing kids to be as innocent as possible for as long as possible. Because once your innocence is gone, you never get it back.

Ancient societies used to sacrifice their children to appease and charm false gods. That was pretty disturbing. I mean, our society still sacrifices children, but we sacrifice them for totally different reasons.

I'd rather not have that in my search history so how about you tell us?
I accept some cold comfort in the fact that 99.9% of my searches that might raise an eyebrow sit in my browser history right beside a link to a thread on TD that was the genesis of said search. It was them not me, your honor. Who is this "them" you speak of? Tigerdroppings, your honor. Well, shite, why didn't you say that before. Dismissed.

There’s not many things creepier than an older man wanting a relationship with an adolescent boy in order to to give him “mentorship, education, and sometimes sexual components”.
Take away the "sexual components" part and I would argue there needs to be more of it. Men should be showing boys how to be a man once they get to a certain age. A lot of what is wrong with modern society is women trying to raise men.
