Did they bring them down to the beach? I'd have killed to see that shite.

I dont get how anyone can consider OB trashy unless they are staying at condo they got a deal on.

Its sand, pretty water, good restruants and if you are staying at a quality place...families.

OP needs to go rent the top floor suites at tourquise place and get back to us.

You go to Johnson's Beach as well?

We're on the other quiet end between Lilian's Pizza and the state park - almost across from The Shrimp Basket. Still, it was a lot quieter twenty years ago.

Overall, it is not. But if you've been there frequently and not run into "that" family, then you've been fortunate. Chain smoking, leaving all their beer cans on the beach, loud music, middle aged mom letting it all hang out, etc. And that goes for nearly every beach on the Florida and Alabama gulf coast.

oh absolutely. I 100% have stayed with friends in condos we got "deals" on and seen that. But for me, i set up away from them, I play with my boys and drink a few beer with my buddies while the kids try and boogie board. Its relaxing as shite adn so long as they are not trying to fight me or just being crazy where i dont want my kids to see whats going on...i can relax and ignore it.

PCB was trashiest I have been too when on the east end, west end was great though.

Navarre has been my favorite beach wise.

Didnt go last year but 2019 was nice as we rented the penthouse at tourquise with my sisters and it was bad arse. like 4k SF and no trash in sight.

I've always been fascinated how the beach and mountains always have a mix of the richest of the rich and poorest of the poors.

Natural landscape is free, I suppose. Besides paying for lodging, both the mountains (assuming you don't mean skiing mountains) and the beach offer activities that are totally free. And in a cabin or a condo, you can even bring your own food.

Cities, theme parks, etc. require you to spend money all day long.

Orange beach kicks arse. Maybe loosen up your douchey preoccupation with classism and you might end up having some fun for a change. Or don't. You seem like a wet blanket anyway.

Now this is different. People usually save the cheap shots at Alabama for the fall....

For the people saying OB has pretty water, they must have never been the emerald coast. The water is prettier in Florida than Alabama.

So you mix dirty water and dirty people and you get trash. I’m not saying all people who go there are trash. I just think if you’re going to spend thousands of dollars to go to the beach you might as well go somewhere that has pretty water and a pretty beach.

You’ve never been to OB or you’d know it’s where all the Allison and Jennifer moms do the “Braylen and Jaxton have a baseball tourney and we can go to the beach all in the same trip” vacation.

That’s why when you go to the pool, there are always 6 twelve year old assholes wearing $200 sunglasses in the hot tub at all hours of the day and night.

No, its more like the incorporated areas of Livingston Parish, where Pensacola Beach is the trailer parks. Destin and east are the Ascension Parish areas

This is just patently false. The only time I have seen "dirty" water in OB is late spring with a 10+ mph west wind. And even then its a copper color and gone once the wind lays down. Sure, the water in points east is somewhat clearer but to say the other is dirty is just ignorant.

As for dirty people, there isnt a damn bit of difference between a condo full of people in Destin than Orange Beach.

I love Destin/30A, but in Gulf Shores and parts of OB/Perdido, I can rent a beach front house for under $5K a week. That doesn't exist east of Perdido.

Orange Beach is undervalued. You can find undesirables at any southern beach area.

Another thing is OB and gulf shores still have remnants of old school mom and pop seafood restaurants that are great. Almost everything in Florida is one of those tourist trap chains with nets hanging from the ceiling and props everywhere.

That is the primary reason I prefer Alabama beaches. I just want good food, I can ignore other shite. And Florida is no jewel if trashiness actually bothers you. 30A is the most overrated shite ever, like throwing a Starbucks in the middle of Hickville. In the end it’s still just shitty coffee
