I’m struggling to think of the right geological terms, so I’ll say grungy desert that is so windy it will blow your arm off if you wave at someone

I know exactly how to explain it. It is a fricking tundra. Like I was driving from SLC to Denver and went through Wyoming and the weather was just shite to where I was snowed in Rock Springs. Was talking with my parents on the drive back and they said aren’t I happy to live in that evironmennt. The truth is I don’t live in the tundra. The weather in Denver is way different than Southern Wyoming.

I spent about 6 months in WA in the mid-late 90s. I found that the further that you got away from the Pacific/Cascades the more it reminded me of a lot of other states. Pretty rural and not much to see. I loved being up there though.
Yeah, it might as well be two states but all the west coast states are like that.

We did this trip because Ole Miss played Cal at Berkeley and I’d never seen that area of the country (don’t want to talk about the game).
I was scheduled to be out there and be able to catch the game but my schedule moved.

Shea Patterson with 3 INTS* & UM shite the bed (as usual).

Lmao Rock Springs

Exactly the place in mind when I said largest trailer parks I’ve ever seen. And they have it displayed proudly atop the biggest bill in town just where you enter the town from the East on I80.

It may very well be the shittiest town in the United States, and I’ve lived in McAllen and Midland.

I guess you could say I’m so used to being kicked in the balls for being from Mississippi I have this unrealistic expectation that everywhere else is a glimmering Mecca and am surprised when it doesn’t look all that different from home

Most of the 'ghetto' areas are just south of Seattle down to around the airport. And even those areas would be considered pretty tame in most cities east of the Mississippi.

The ghetto areas in the PNW are laughable compared to what you'll see in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Birmingham, Jackson etc.

Rock Springs is a shite hole. Casper is an underrated small city though in my experience.

There’s definitely a very trashy/methy side to all those states but also some really pretty and clean small cities. Boise in particular is great

I live in Tacoma which native PNWers act like is crack-era DC (even call it Tacompton). Around a million people in the Tacoma area and we get 10-15 murders a year. These people would shite their pants in St. Louis or north Baton Rouge.

It’s population is just north of 20k and they had a strip club. Always a bad sign when a town that small has a strip club. And you were trapped there and mean to tell me you didn’t take a gander? Smh

But agreed in my experience it’s the worst city in America. I was so shocked at how bad it was I got the itch to look up it’s history and it appears the only thing of note to happen there was the largest massacre of chinamen railroad workers in US history. I don’t want to laugh but you can’t even make shite like that up.

I flew out of rock springs once. That was funny. To their credit they have a vending machine

Second worst city in America for me? Eureka, California

I’ll pass on that. Rock Springs is the meth Capitol of the United States, so doesn’t seem like a good idea.

I got California as a sales territory, and this is the only major town in CA I have yet to visit. I know there’s one dealer out there, but it better be worth my time to go all that way.

NBR usually has about 80 per year and it's probably roughly half of the city's population so like 120k
