Is “Mimi” the most overused nickname for grandma these days?

My 88 year old mother-in-law has been Mimi for 40 years.

Social media. 50 year old women need to come to terms with hitting the wall and being old.

In my limited experience, the Mimis are usually the B grandma.

The mammaws and Nanas are A tier.

I don’t bear it. But I had a Mimi long ago. We probably gave her that name.

Hopefully, by the time I become a grandparent, "PeePaw" will be back in style.

This isn't about Mimi or anything, but when I was young I used to think grannies were skinny and liked to drink and that mamas were kind of fat and drove tractors because.. My granny was skinny and used to hit the wine bottle at exactly 5PM until she went to bed every day of the week. And my mom's mom, my mama, was a bigger lady who mowed their land with a tractor.. Fun fact, she was once on the tractor and came across a cotton mouth. She went to kill it with a hoe she kept with her and pulled a disc in her back that resulted in surgery which then resulted to other issues that was eventually caused her to die.

My grandmother was "Nana" and my grandfather was "Obergruppenfuhrer."
