People around the major cities are generally like you would meet from any other city across the country.
The further you get away from the cities and south is where you find the airboat types. Mid to north Louisiana is basically southern Arkansas

Yep, just like the movies so stay the frick away. We've got enough dummies running around here without adding gump rednecks. Really though, I'm actually jealous of the guys on TV. Those boys are living the dream down there in the basin.

Louisiana is south of I10, with a finger going up the I49 corridor a ways

I'm guessing you didn't live in Acadiana or New Orleans. Yes, places like Lake Charles, Alex, and Shreveport are probably just like living in Alabama.

Shoot over to the Poli Board...if that doesn't give you every indication your typical Louisiana resident is at least two decades behind I don't know what will.

Yes, if you aren't a leftist you're "decades behind."
I guess you must hate most of the states in this country then.

Most of it as about as legitimate as Dennis Quaid's accent in The Big Easy.

You do know squirrels are mammals and don't lay eggs, right? Please tell me you know this.
Not Louisiana squirrels, they are like platypuses.

The plural of platypus is platypi. Or if it's not, it should be.

Media would have you believe LA is a bunch of alligator hunting, crawfish catching, underwater log hunting misfits who found themselves in a hilarious situational comedy together and decided to call it Louisiana.
Wouldn't call it "reality TV" if it wasn't real

And every time a Louisiana sports team has a great game, the idiot announcers say "They'll be partying on Bourbon Street tonight". Does anyone really go to Bourbon Street to party after a big win?
"This is JIM NANTZ at the BIG DANCE and it isn't beads on Bourbon Street we are talking about, tonight they play for ALL THE MARBLES!"
