My wife makes nothing.
My wife spends a ton.
She is like a very bad business, BUT I get no tax write-off so she is technically much worse.
I would be happy if she just broke even.

My SO caught up to me last month, which then prompted me to ask for a raise from my boss

I will never maks a lot of money. Ever. But my SO is on track to make partner at an accounting firm. I’ll just wipe my tears with the house we’ll be able to afford one day. Times are changing. You can’t rely on one person to carry the weight anymore. If she makes more money, fine.

My wife makes more than I do. Been that way for about 2 years now. We’re within $10k of each other though.

But she also works a lot more hours than I do. Depending on what projects I’m working, I could work late nights and some weekends. But in between projects I chill bigly. Her firm is constantly cranking out work for her, and she wants to prove herself in a male-dominated field. So she puts in tons of billable hours.

And no, I don’t care at all. I wanted a wife who makes good money.

In a way, I'd be ok. But nature does dictate, at least when you're younger, and my GF (no pics) did briefly make more than me, and I wouldn't like that long term.

To be fair, I'm a (first year) lawyer. So you're darned right I wouldn't like the pay discrepancy, but mostly because I'd be pissed I went into all that debt, law school, and the bar exam just to be outearned by a freaking broke arse teacher (no offense intended to teachers--love them, and my family is full of them. I also taught briefly.).

To be sure, she taught at a charter school for a semester, and that's why earned more than me in my first year.

I wish she did, I wouldn’t know what to do with all the money if that was the case

It sound like you are not ok with your SO making more. You're a lawyer, I wouldn't expect otherwise .

You have to have the world's smallest penis to be mad about having more money

As long as at the end of the day we have a lot of money I don't care where it comes from. I would be more than happy to be a stay at home husband.

I wish my wife made more than me. If you're comfortable with yourself and your professional life why should it matter if your wife is also successful?

I could see how someone who was unsuccessful professionally would be threatened by a woman who makes more than them, though.

My gf is in residency but when she finishes she's gonna make significantly more.

I have zero problems with that
