Just who was giving a grown woman this much shite for being fat? This seems odd to me.

Fat people know they’re fat. They don’t like it. Whether or not they change is on them. Calling them names and making them feel like less isn’t doing them any favors. You don’t know what that person is going through. For all you know that person could be really struggling with multiple issues and gained weight as a result.

On the other side, the fat acceptance movement is truly ridiculous. Being fat is not okay. It’s unhealthy. You are at a higher risk for a multitude of ailments. It’s not attractive and it will never be beautiful.

I am an obese man due to thyroid disease. It has taken years to try to get my hormones regulated. Each year, it became harder and harder to not add weight, much less lose it. Being obese sucks because everything is just a little harder. If you let it go, it snowballs. The more you weigh, the less you want to do. The less you do, the more you weigh.

Fat shaming is a waste of everyone's time, as the fat person already knows they are fat. HOWEVER, I think telling someone that being morbidly obese is acceptable is way worse. I am a huge hypocrite because I think fat people are totally unattractive and have never dated anyone overweight. At the same time, I want people to know the person that I am inside and not judge me by my weight.

Her Friends and family did nothing to help her lose weight. They are partial to blame.

Tax payers don't support my medical bills.

Bottom line is, unless I break any laws, mind your own business.

I dont care what you think.

I do not support others controlling my life according to their beliefs.

You can kiss my fat hairy arse, go find a safe space mary.

I agree. People assume there’s always some cure. Not true. It’s shameful to do it.

First, I agree with everything you said previously. However, I can't agree with this. Think how much the societal vision of the perfect female form changed from the Baroque period to say the early 70s. We have swung from the "Twiggy" era to the modern thic girl with a huge arse.

Very well said.

Cept the part where you think it will never be attractive. I suggest you think about what fat meant in the past. And what they term rubeneque means.

Far, far, far down the list of reasons.

Ans unless you are perfect then you do the same for others.

You should give up the gluttony, drinking too much and smoking, and chase whores exclusively. You will find that you like what you have been missing.

There’s a difference between not endorsing people killing themselves with Oreos and pretending there’s nothing wrong with it, versus being a colossal douchebag.

Which one is “fat shaming”? Doesn’t really matter. Do the former, not the latter.

My goodness, you are an absolute prick/know it all/blowhard on every board.

And you are wrong but won't and can't be "man" enough to admit it.

quote:

Five factors contribute to the rise in health care costs in the US: (1) more people; (2) an aging population; (3) changes in disease prevalence or incidence; (4) increases in how often people use health care services; and (5) increases in the price and intensity of services

Pay attention to number 3. That's where you'll find the growing obesity problem. Far, far, down the list.

Obesity accounts for about 13 percent of private pay health insurance costs.
