Off from work on Wednesdays and Thursdays, bro. It's my midweek weekend. Starting it all off right with 1.5 hours in the gym and then some Crown and shitty Mexican food. And fricking nasty Pepsi instead of my beloved Dr. Pepper.

Dr. Pepper is an independent bottler.

basically Dr. Pepper makes the syrup. sells it to either coke or pepsi. sits back and collects bank while distributor works arse off.

Coke cannot sell Dr.Pepper and Mr. Pibb in same market. Pepsi sells Dr Pepper in Lafayette that's why they have Pibb.

Mt. Dew Ice >>>>>>> sprite

come out this week and is legit

its Mr. Pibb which is owned by Coke. that would be a good reason it's not served in Pepsi restaurants

Dr. Pepper is not under the Coke or Pepsi umbrella. It is distributed by Coke in the Baton Rouge area though.

, calm down. Mr. Pibb is a Coke product. Dr. Pepper is it's own product.

We (Coke) sell Pepper here in Mobile and Pibb on the Mississippi coast. Dr. Pepper is as several here have said, independent from Coke or Pepsi but bottlers across the country have acquired the rights. Pepsi has it in South Mississippi for instance. There are exceptions to that (third party vendors and certain national fountain accounts)

I believe bottling is done regionally, because I am pretty sure in Alabama it is bottled by Buffalo Rock.

Sun Drop is a subsidiary of Dr. Pepper/7up/Snapple/whatever and is bottled by Buffalo Rock in Tennessee also.

Originally I believe it was invented in Dublin, TX.

No. Invented in Waco.

Dublin used to be the last place that bottled it with cane sugar, but that ended 5 years ago or so. As a "FU" to DP, Dublin Bottling Co. started bottling something called Dublin Original that tastes like the cane sugar DP. You can buy at the HEB stores around here

Dublin can’t even make Dr. Pepper anymore.

Okay sure, but the Dublin Dr. Pepper was way better. That is an objective fact.
