Neither.

They are either owned by or own Snapple, but are bottled by whomever they can get the best deal locally from.

Neither, but DP is normally bottled at a Coca-Cola facility.

Dr. Pepper - Snapple Group

I believe bottling is done regionally, because I am pretty sure in Alabama it is bottled by Buffalo Rock.

Similarly, Coca Cola of Baton Rouge is not OWNED by Coca Cola Corporation (KO) either. It's an independent bottler of the product called Coca Cola United. Family owned and based in Birmingham.

It's a Snapple product. Coke and Pepsi distributors can choose to distribute...but have started substituting their own brands.

In towns where Coke doesn't distribute Dr. Pepper...they use Mr. Pibb.

Pepsi used to distribute "Dr. Slice" in towns where they didn't distribute Dr. Pepper. They dropped the brand 7 or 8 years ago. Now they either distribute Dr. Pepper, or don't offer an alternative.

Owned by Dr Pepper / Snapple Group.

Distribution by Coke or Pepsi depends on the regional distribution agreement.

Originally I believe it was invented in Dublin, TX.

Not sure where it was invented, but it wasn’t Dublin. I want to take a random guess and say waco, but that may just be because the museum is there.

Dublin can’t even make Dr. Pepper anymore. DP sued them and they lost their licensing rights for selling outside of the agreed upon area.

Were only suppose to sell the Dublin stuff in the like the seven surrounding counties, including Erath and were doing it all over the state.

I used to live in Stephenville (10 miles from Dublin) and everyone bitched about it.
