Is anyone else happily married to someone you love and generally happy in life?

So many stories here and everywhere else about constant misery and negativity.
It’s ok to just be happy sometimes.

Never been a husband, but I’ve had a lot of wives to hold me.

Checking in
I too wonder this exact question when the typical marriage topics are posted. My life and wife and family aren’t perfect, but all things considered really good

Married my high-school sweetheart. 3 combat deployments as an infantry marine and 4 kids later I will say I'm pretty happy

Lotta bitter baws because their wives won’t let them leave Louisiana. Pathetic, really

I am, but marriage is a lot of work.

I’m as happy as a person could possibly be. Celebrating 25 years of marriage this weekend and have 2 wonderful kids.

Happy after 19 years of marriage checking in.

Yes, I'm very happily married. We have spats here and there, but nothing major. She's pretty logical and when she's not she usually will see my point of view with a little explanation. She also has never stopped with the BJs.
Work wise I could be happier... but that is what it is and it's not terrible.
Anytime I feel like things are bad I just compare my life to the life of people that grew up in the early to mid 1900s and then it seems great.

Been married to the same woman since I was in my 20s (mid 40s now). We have a good marriage.
We both have good careers, good kids, all 4 of our parents are still with us for now.
We have been planning the upcoming empty nest phase of our lives in the next 3 years or so lately.

I met my wife when I was a freshman at LSU and we married after I graduated. We've been married 44 years and we've had our ups and downs. We don't have bliss, but I'm generally happy if she's happy (happy wife-happy life). Being married and raising kids is a hard job to do right (but you gotta' love it). Her idea of retirement does not match mine, but I'm working on her (I get help from her sisters and a best friend). She just hates change.

Many people nowadays are simply miserable. 22 years of marriage here and going strong.

Maybe suggest your boss to start giving you BJs….seems to be a key in your contentment level

<- this guy we’ve been married 25 years, raised two kids, and have built a great life together. She’s my wife, mother of my children, and my best friend. Wherever I go, whatever I do, it’s better with her.

Didn’t get married until I was 34. 14 years later, 2 kids, sex 1-3 times a week, both have good careers and she works out every single day to keep it tight. Sometimes I hate her and sometimes I love her. Pretty thankful for all of it.

I really can't complain about anything but politics. I have a perfect marriage and everything going for me in life. I have a dream job that I look forward to being at, a son who is respectful and a good student. We're healthy and our finances are weathering the post pandemic shite show.
None of the above came easy though.
ETA: ~Married 15 years, met in school and we have the same profession. We almost never argue. We are genuinely really kind to each other.

Married 36 years to the same woman (my only marriage). Two adult children. It has had it’s difficult times (we have both contributed) but I am satisfied with our life together. It took some time but we both know how to play off each other’s strengths and overcome the other’s weaknesses.
