Irony sharpens irony.

I was watching "Alaska: The Last Frontier" a few years ago and they were having, in their words" a heat wave. They were complaining how hot it was when it was in the upper 70's.

Guess it's all in perspective and what you're use to in daily life.

I know for certain the coldest I've ever experienced was in the low teens F. Not sure how I'd handle 20 or more below zero temperatures.

It's not cold until the diesel fuel for your heaters starts to gel.

Anything 5 degrees and below feels the same to me. Its wind that is the killer. I'd rather have zero degrees and calm than 45 degrees, wind and rain.

English houses are built for insulation. So it increases heat under those conditions.

Heart attack is a major killer from cold, as people shovel snow. The actual heat kills more people though than cold.

It hit 110 at Heathrow? I checked a little bit ago and in the middle of the afternoon, it was 99. Very low humidity and dew point so real feel was 99.

Last night in New Orleans, it was 89 with a heat index of 98 at 9:30pm.

Saw that on AccuWeather. Sky News says 105. Apples and oranges. Fire emergencies are fire emergencies .

And slaking your thirst with an ice cold bottle of beer while doing so brings it to another level of greatness.

A lot of them also don’t have AC and aren’t used to it.

My brother use to date a girl from upstate New York. He went with her one week to visit her parents and that didn't have central air. He said even though it would dip down in the 60's at night, it was miserable.

AC has been around since the 1920’s. Almost 100 fricking years. If Yankees and Brits don’t have AC by now, 0 sympathy.

Southerners get laughed at for hurricanes every year by these same dumbasses.
