Good for him, seems like a good dude. Got some fam in Iowa, they stayed and had a pine tree on their house. Fun stuff

IIRC it was founded by farmers from the state of Iowa who came down to grow rice, That's how they pronounced it.

That’s pretty funny. Iowa is named after the Iowa, or Ioway Indians. It was a silly joke for locals to say Ioway, but nobody ever really pronounced it that way—it was always pronounced “eye-oh-wuh”

Kudos to that guy! He has the best attitude in his scenario. He views his predicament as a challenge, not a depressing problem.

Rabideaux's is in Iowa. Already back up and running cash only as of 2 days ago. Best sausage in the state.

Rabideaux’s is great but have you had Landreneau’s in Oberlin? They have this sausage that comes in a flat sack casing. It’ll change your world. Throw it in some jambalaya. Pound for pound SWLA collectively has the best meat markets IMO

WLOX outkicked their coverage with her. I’m surprised she hasn’t been scooped up by a larger market yet.

Man I met some in laws at the Pilot in Iowa on Sunday after the hurricane and it was bad. Every single house had roof damage. Never seen pine trees snapped in half either.

I've been in Lake Charles since Thursday morning. Our mission was to provide security to vulnerable areas, but no one on our detail has had problems. I'm impressed with the SWLA community post storm. Just a bunch of people working to get their lives back in order.

I was there twice last week.

Noticed cop cars parked in front of pawn shops, ATM machines, banks, and drug stores.

Her father was in the CIA. The guy that killed her father was supposed to be getting released last year. It was a big story at the time. Trump evaluated it but his legal team said there was nothing he could do.

That’s why Lake Charles isn’t getting more constant media attention. If everyone was just sitting around begging and waiting for the government to save them, the national media would be all over it, blaming Trump in particular for it.
