Buster Island owned since 1970ish so I am presuming Randolph Sr. Handsome-obtained it? I would also presume that they put Buster Island in someone's name that was safe from them losing it?

I read last night that Buster's Island has been with Murdaughs since the 70s so not sure how they got it

I didn't get to watch much of it.
He's a tall mf. Apparently played football at USC.
Was there any evidence from his cell phone? Like pinging cell phone towers? I saw that it took awhile to unlock Paul's phone.

do any of you know if pre-trial the defendant's attorneys filed a motion for change of venue?

His attorneys said they polled potential jurors in neighboring counties and decided it wasnt beneficial since it was national news already. Everyone had heard about it.
ETA: They were asked this question in the defense's post trial press conference.

Yeah that’s how they got some of the detail on the trip to his mothers and back, also Onstar.

No, Blanca Simpson.
She testified at the trial.

Got it. I didn't watch the trial.
But, I do think the housekeeper that "fell" did know something she wasn't supposed to know

Paul's girlfriend gave an interview last week. She and Paul had been 'together' a long time, back to when the housekeeper fell. She said in the interview that the housekeeper had found a lot of illegal pills at Moselle.
I don't think she was asked the lag time between the pill discovery and the fall and subsequent death.

SIAP: Why did the judge go down that road of it was your split personality monster inside of you hopped up on 60 opioids that may have done this? Why even put that on court record?
Because the law says if a person is intentionally intoxicated on any substance and commits a crime, that is not a mitigating factor and holds no sway in the law. Prosecution brought this up in closing and defense cannot refute it because it’s the law.

Doesn't this also apply to underage drinking in homes? The Murdough's were the 'cool' parents because they were above the law? And not liable if they provided booze to underage teens?
What are the current laws on underage drinking and adults in a home allowing it--being liable if that kid leaves and gets in a car accident/killed, kills others?

Well it said at the end of the Netflix documentary that Alex had taken out an insurance policy on the property right before the maid's "fall". He then proceeded to file a claim against it on her behalf, gets 4mil, her family never gets a dime.

Took the trip this afternoon. Couldn’t stop at the entrance near the kennels as there was a deputy sheriff parked there.

It's going to be eerie as hell for a long time to pass by that driveway

Does anyone else think the evidence is too circumstantial? Wears the guns used in the murders? Where is the actual proof murdered his wife and son? I keep waiting to hear concrete proof...

It had an eerie feel to it. When they say it is in the middle of nowhere, they are not lying. Driving by the kennel entrance, you can see part of the shed and a small part of the kennels. One thing I didn’t realize was the main entrance and kennel entrance was only 50 yards or so apart. Moselle Road wasn’t extremely rough. It felt narrow in several places. Definitely didn’t feel like a road where you could drive 70-80 MPH especially at night. Went by the area where Maggie’s phone was thrown. I drove 40-42 MPH through there just like it said in the testimonies. Overall, just a weird and eerie feeling seeing the area.

No.
This isn't a tv drama. Murderers are routinely convicted on far less evidence. There is ZERO question he is guilty.

I've already forgotten a lot of the Netflix doc but didn't a drone catch Buster and Uncle Marv taking a bunch of guns out of the house?
Btw another Murdaugh show tonight on 48 Hours at 10 EST

About removing armloads of guns from the house.
Pretty much standard operation when somebody dies and the are known to have a collection of firearms. Remove them to a safer place, or expect the scum of the earth to come by and take whatever isn't nailed down. (Or if they arrive with pry bars, nailed down isn't enough.)
