Interview Techniques and Salary Negotiation

I want to teach you my tricks.
Every interview ultimately leads to the same end, money. Wether you are negotiating a contract with a customer or with an employer. The more you practice, the better you get.
Remeber there are two sales people in every transaction which is you and the customer. You are selling to the customer and they are convincing themselves that its a good buy.
Here are my tricks of the trade.
1. Be calm: your body will be nervous but your mind must tell your body to slow down. Your customer is reading your body language be in control.
2. Talk slower: Allow the customer to process the words that you are speaking. Act like you are talking to an older person on the phone that cant hear well.
3. Focus your eyes: I focus on the teeth because it allows me to focus on the negotiation and not the person Im negotiating with. (On the flip side, when Im being sold, I dont even look at the person sometimes and just focus on what is being said.)
4. Listen: the customer/ Employer will tell you what they want.
5. Ask for the money: I can do that, do you have a check ready for me? Sell the job now. You are the only person in existence at this time. TAKE THEIR MONEY.
Negotiating the salary
Question: what is your salary requirements?
Answer: Have two numbers and say it like this.
I want to make $100,000 dollars. But I will take 50. A trick is ask for something outlandish that you know they wont accept but then the second number doesnt seem so bad. It also makes them think they are getting a better deal.
Regardless of the number, if you dont ask, you dont get.

Pro tip: Never underestimate the other guy’s greed.

TL;DR: Drink to a comfortable buzz before your interview and have some balls.

I like that. I’m gonna start using it.

Pro tip: Never underestimate the other guy’s ego
In other words, make yourself seem like the best candidate for the job you’re applying for. Not like a better candidate for the job of the guy interviewing you.

You whip that stupid shite out and I am not giving you the job. No matter how well the interview went. What that says to me is that you think you are worth twice what I am paying and will be jumping ship the second you get a slightly better offer.

Those are good thoughts when selling a product. Yes I get that the product may be you.
If you want real answers especially if interviewing, repeat the last three or four words your interviewee just said and shut up. This goes the same if being interviewed. That technique put the pressure on the other to talk more, maybe explain further.
Typically the one who talks the most believes the interview went the best. A logical approach for anything.

You're hiring fools.

Was going to respond to the OP until I saw this response:
I have a rule when interviewing people - if your resume is 3 pages or longer, i will not even start the interview. If you are a jumper, i will not spend my time training you. Period.
I have only hired one person that brought up money during the first visit.

If you talk to a normal, competent individual in a face to face conversation the way you would speak over the phone to an old person who can't hear well, they will have one and only one reaction:

Never made sense to me why salary talk is taboo at a job interview. Why must either side pretend money is not important.

Bullfrog introduced me to the art of salary negotiations. My first attempt wasn’t flawless but worked out extremely well in my favor. If you’re valuable to your company, then you could be valuable to someone else. When you’re in demand, your value increases. Put yourself out there and don’t settle with a miserable job or mediocre salary. True Story
