…what is your eating schedule like? Do you do 6 hours or 8 hours of feeding times? Benefits?

Been traveling a bit and eating out a lot so trying to figure out a way to cut back some. I get up at 4:00am every morning so if I eat breakfast, I’m still eating dinner with the normal population. Do you find it easier to hold off in the morning or cut off your feedings earlier in the day?

Help me figure this out, OT! Worth it?

Haven't done IF in a while but when I did, I skipped breakfast and had lunch at noon. I was really hungry in the mornings for about a week and a half but eventually stopped craving food in the morning. IF worked well for me and helped me lose a bunch of that stored fat.

I skip breakfast. 16 hour fast 6 days a week, usually from 8pm to noon. The 7th day is a 24 hour fast. That is usually from 6pm Sunday to 6pm Monday, but during lent I switch it to Fridays.

Every time I get the urge to eat, I rub one out. Haven’t had a bite in weeks.

I use Fastic but eat between 10:30a - 6:30p so I can eat before my noon lift and still enjoy dinner with the family.

I only eat once a day now.

2-3 cups of black coffee in the morning then I eat about 5 pm. All day I'm busy working outside or fishing. When i eat, I eat anything I want and as much as i want. Sometimes a piece of pie and Braum's ice cream for dessert.

I didn't start doing it by choice, I just hated taking breaks from doing what I was doing just to shove food down my face.

Anyway, im 50 and I am the same waist size I was during over 20 years in the Army.

Been eating breakfast, or some snack, later in the morning. Then eat a slightly heavier lunch or have snacks in the afternoon. Skip dinner.

On weekends, I might switch it up because of things going on and only eat dinner.

I just started this recently though, keeping my eating window to 8 hours a day usually between 9-5.

I just got done trying 18:6 (1 PM - 7 PM)

Pros
I couldn't eat a ton throughout the day because my window was so limited
I learned to listen to my body more.
Felt great all morning physically.

Cons
Harder to focus on mentally tasking tasks because hunger was distracting in the AM
Hunger can trick me into thinking I want a drink. So it put the thought into my head on days I'd otherwise not drink.

I usually try just eating dinner. Sometimes I’ll throw in a lunch. And every now and then I’ll fast for 2 or 3 days.

I eat breakfast and lunch then fast till breakfast.

I do mix in some fruit, cheese or sugar free beef jerky if I get too hungry.

Benefits?

Well I'm coupling it with a Keto/carnivore diet in order to drop weight .. 15 years at a desk has not been kind to my body.. I also ate like a teenager still..

Yes, I even spend 45 mins doing pretty intense training at the gym while in the fast...
