If only there were a food or health/fitness board!

I'm hearing there are some upset Dlinemen that only committed to LSU because of Bo.

No you're not!

ULL now has a better basketball coach than LSU. If LSU does not make a change, ULL basketball will be better than LSU just like ULL football was better than LSU during Billy N's final seasons in Louisiana.

This post should get you banned!
Obviously LSU is favorite team in the state. Second to them I would say McNeese St and least favorite LA Tech. :geauxtigers:

Unless you have someone who can get you on Squire Creek

Trail's End Golf Course in Arcadia is a nice course, it's probably 25 minutes from Ruston and open to the public. It's a tough tract

or

Lake D'Arbonne Country Club in Farmerville (I love this course)
it's about 30 minutes

neither are usually very busy

One of the guys has a brother that lives at Squire and is playing with us. I'm looking forward to it, haven't played out there yet.

How’s his slider coming baw? Really needs to develop that 4th pitch if he wants any scouting attention.
He's 11 years old he only throws fb and change up. I don't believe in breaking balls or sliders until they are more developed.

Travel Ball weekend update

Posted by JonHarbaw on 3/10/25 at 10:05 am
Thanks for the input last week. We ended up changing hotels to where the team was and had a great time. T-Rev had a great weekend in his first travel ball tournament going 7-11 and threw 5 innings giving up 1 run in the championship game. Actually met a few of the dads and we already have a golf match planned for the tournament in a few weeks when we are in north Louisiana.

Update……. We ended up staying at the same hotel as all the other guys and last night was cool. Two of the dads and myself have set up a fishing trip in a couple weeks. Appreciate everyone’s insight and advice, it made me realize I was being somewhat of a dick. T-Rev is up and ready it’s rewarding seeing the smile in his face ready to play today. Have a great weekend guys!

Another travel ball post

Ok here it goes and hope I don't get banned. It's my first weekend of travel ball starting tomorrow. I have fought it as long as I could, but finally gave in. We are going to be "those parents" that does not associate with all of the other travel ball parents on the team. I have stood back and watched my friends become such a cult with this stuff and I refuse to. We are staying at different hotels and not hanging out like a big fraternity every second we aren't playing. We are here for business only and try to get Trevor to improve his game playing with better competition. In your honest opinion am I taking the right approach or being a dick doing this? I just refuse to make this become my lifestyle 24/7.

Be careful if its havalon blades. I've had a few of them break off in the deer and while skinning. Super sharp but have had some scares with them.

I got an idea. Let’s not feed into the problem.

We already got 2019. That was the best team, with the best QB of all time. In addition to, 2 of the best WR’s of all time.

2020 and on has been on absolute cornball shite

But it doesn’t matter. We got what every other fanbase would die to have in 2019. It will never be duplicated.

We also got the bonus of a Jayden Daniels Heisman year recently.

I don’t give a damn about ships in this cornball era. Everyone should save their money and not pool it to buy college athletes. That’s encouraging a broken system and we don’t need to do that as we already had the best season of all time.

Then why are you on this board?

I agree, nice polo, framed prints, etc...

NIL Donation Idea

Posted by JonHarbaw on 12/17/24 at 12:53 pm
Admins are wanting people to pony up money for NIL which I get b/c that's the way college football is trending. I believe from a fans standpoint, people that are middle class would be more willing to give if it came with something small and easily do-able. Example: $100 signed photograph of your player choice, $500 jersey signed by your player of choice, $1000 helmet signed, and so on. Just a thought and I'm sure I will get bashed over this b/c people on here like to slam you for anything, but I would be willing to give for that.

NIL fundraising idea

Posted by JonHarbaw on 12/10/24 at 9:59 pm
Louisiana and LSU are such a unique place, I think we should embrace that and use it to our advantage. We should add an export tax to every seafood item leaving the state that goes directly to NIL and split amongst all sports. Don’t you know it would drive the Aggies, Longhorns, gumps, etc… nuts knowing they’re donating to our fund!
