I’ve had drinks with several famous people over the years.

But I’ll never forget the most infamous person who was in my home as a child.

Aintionette Frank and her dad came into my house in the East when I was a kid. They stayed for a while talking to my dad about purchasing the lot and home next door.

They ended up buying something two doors down from my grandfather.

A few months later she was arrested for killing her partner and the family at the restaurant.

While she sat in jail, my grandfather’s dog brought a knee bone back to his shed. It was determined to be her father’s who she buried under the house.

Makes you think she could have gotten me.

One day, glass will come over to the West Bank.

Mostly just politicians. At least one former LA governor, John Schneider (Bo Duke), and some distant members of the Sam Walton (Walmart) family. I guess we could count the various folks that have come through here doing some hunting. A few more politicians, some judges.

ETA: Billy Cannon. He liked my mom's pies. And, no, that's not a euphemism. He literally enjoyed sitting down in our kitchen, eating pies, drinking coffee, and telling stories.

Frank was bat shite crazy. The investigation later determined she failed the NOPD psych exam two or three times but they were under that Consent Decree court order to hire minorities / women and pushed her through the process.

This was the same time that the dudes who were hired under the decree were found to be moonlighting as hit men and guards for that drug gang. Bad bunch of years for the NOPD.

I was staying with a relative for the summer after high school and John Goodman came over for dinner. I guess that kinda counts. They are still friends.

I was in Bill Clinton's living room (he only lived there at the time for 8 years ) and petted socks the cat in front of their Xmas tree.

My dad felt the same way when she was in the house. After she left, he was glad she left. Her eyes were roaming all over.

It’s hard to imagine letting people in the house today.

Antoinette Frank.....

I am not a proponent of the death penalty, but what she did was personal to me. Ronnie Williams was a good friend. I hope she is roasting in hell.

I drink with a former prosecutor who handled that case. It’s truly terrible.

In my house a young guy that made it to the semi finals on American Idol. Nice guy found out later he was gay. Now I did have drinks with Red Foxx in Vegas a couple months before his death. Just me and my first wife along with him and his Asian girlfriend . He told me about how the IRS had taken everything he owned. We had a couple shots together while he smoked his cigar. Really cool guy
