Oh well. If he hadn't called to gloat, then he wouldn't have gotten an earful. She could have just as easily called or texted to tell me she was staying with him and had to stop seeing me.... and she could have told him herself what she had done earlier that day. I feel no sympathy, nor regret.

She has a bad mental problem. Sex addict. Addicted to a cheating lifestyle. She is not curable. This is a very sad story, but, you can't allow yourself to be a part of this story any longer, unless you are also mentally disturbed somehow.

Break up with her on the sensible grounds that she is not ready for marriage. Tell her that in a calm manner. No need to get emotional about it.

Honesty brother, you’re better off finding this out now. Walk away. This type of behavior doesn’t just stop. And if it does, she’ll likely be a very different person.

I know that sucks, but you don’t get opportunities like this to walk away from bad situations with little other than emotional baggage.

We are in our late 40's. We were very much in love. I knew she was very sexually active in her single life. She grew up with low self-esteem and she self-medicated with bad relationships. She told me she wanted to settle down and I was the only one for her- that she finally found someone to spend the rest of her life with who had great character, took care of her, and didn't treat her like she is merely a piece of meat. She is a catch. Or, so I thought. I am a really great guy and a catch, too. We had our wedding planned. We were together for two years. She lived with me for a year. We had a really hot sex life. We had a happy life. We integrated our families and kids. We did everything together and we had a lot of fun together. She seemed really happy. One of her adult sons told me he has never seen his mom this happy and he is glad she is finally with someone who treats her well.
I'm sorry this happened to you but there's more red flags in that story than a Chinese military parade. People used to call me a judgmental or sexist prick for not wanting to date women who were single moms or had a lot of sexual partners but past behavior is the biggest predictor of future behavior. Most people don't change or mature past the age of 26 or so. On a second note, it's a good thing you didn't marry or have a kid with this chick.

That's a really weird thing to gloat about anyway. What's the claim?

"Oh, sure, maybe she enjoys sex with you, but I get to shuttle her to and from all her colonoscopies! And hear about her job! Yeah! Put that in your pipe and smoke it, fuccboi!"

He basically called to brag about "getting her back" and that she "chose me over you"

I also forgot to mention that the first time I had sex with her, once we were finished she came out of the bathroom and said, "You made me bleed." She was used to his little dick and she was actually happy (impressed?) that I made her bleed. So during our phone conversation I also asked him, "Did she tell you I made her bleed?" I know he was seriously pissed when I hung up the phone. I obliterated him during that phone call.

In all fairness, she was hot AF and I really would've liked to have continued an exclusive relationship with her. But, she was close to his two daughters (from a previous relationship) and he used that to lure her back.

How did he get your number? You may think this sounds like a bad arse move, but being called by your Frickbuddies boyfriend or husband is sad.

He was with her at the time. She was in the background. Plus prior to that, he had been calling me, telling me to back off, etc. I believe originally one of her friends gave it to him. And no, I'm not insinuating that it was a "bad arse move" at all. All I'm saying is that if he hadn't called that day - if she had done it instead the way I stated earlier - then he never would've gotten told what I told him.

Not to mention the face that she considered them broken up at the time, so technically, although they had been in a longterm relationship, he wasn't her boyfriend.

Completely normal. Most women have (or simply don't care) zero concept of right and wrong.

You should've just broken it off after receiving this new recon info. Letting her break it off just gave her satisfaction.

Unfortunately there are some people - it is called satyriasis in men, nymphomania in women - who engage in it compulsively and without joy. Yes, Mr. Lebowski, these unfortunate souls cannot love in the true sense of the word. Our mutual acquaintance Bunny is one of these.
