Interested in buying a moped.

Nothing too fancy. Just something to drive around town and help save $ on gas in the long run. Any tips? Expected price? Dealerships? I live in NOLA (and yes I have a place to put it at night where it won't get stolen).

how many miles would you actually put on moped that would be taken off of SUV?
i mean i would just throw a guess out it'd take at least 2 yrs to even break even.
