In this situation, he can spell it however the hell he wants. Take your spellcheck arse somewhere else.

I'd try to correct you too but I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

There is a right to try experimental drugs law. Try everything. How about cancer treatment centers of America?

I know you never gave me permission but your post inspired me to write this.

Stained with love

Vs 1:
Mama I write these words,
For now the time has come,
I wish I could have more time,
With you ‘fore the morning sun,
When I was a helpless babe,
You held me in your arms,
You kissed away my tears,
Kept me there safe and warm,

Chorus:
And there’s a bond that forms,
Like no other,
Between a newborn child,
And his mother,
But we all grow,
And with time,
Ties are strained,
As through the years,
Tears of joy mingle,
With the pain,
But when the end it nears,
Love comes to conquer the fears,
And the bond still remains yet unbroken,
And through the pain you’ll find,
That all the ties that bind,
Linger on, when they’re gone,
Even if unspoken,

Vs 2:
Baby I read these words,
As my tears stain the page,
I raised you up with love,
Learning more as I aged,
As my time with you wanes,
Hold tight to the memories,
Endings can’t take away,
The love that you shared with me,

Chorus:
And there’s a bond that forms,
Like no other,
Between a newborn child,
And his mother,
But we all grow,
And with time,
Ties are strained,
As through the years,
Tears of joy mingle,
With the pain,
But when the end it nears,
Love comes to conquer the fears,
And the bond still remains yet unbroken,
And through the pain you’ll find,
That all the ties that bind,
Linger on, when they’re gone,
Even if unspoken,

Vs 3:
Though I can’t fill the hole,
After I laid you down,
I see the tears that stained,
Ink on my note I found,
And as my own tears fall,
Dancing with yours on my words,
I know that you felt my love,
Though unspoken I know you heard,

Chorus:
And there’s a bond that forms,
Like no other,
Between a newborn child,
And his mother,
But we all grow,
And with time,
Ties are strained,
As through the years,
Tears of joy mingle,
With the pain,
But when the end it nears,
Love comes to conquer the fears,
And the bond still remains yet unbroken,
And through the pain you’ll find,
That all the ties that bind,
Linger on, when they’re gone,
Even if unspoken,

Mama you know that I love you,
Here and now I know that you love me too,
Though you’re gone,
I’ll carry on,
With your love,
And though you’re far away
I won’t fear,
Because you’re here,
On this letter stained with love.

I don’t have a good melody hammered out and it’s a rough cut but, it’s got feeling.

Loss, especially when you didn’t get a proper goodbye, is hard.

It speaks to my own experiences

Hopefully you might find some comfort in it

It kills me every time I think about my mother being gone from cancer, while my POS father still walks this Earth.

Appreciate the time you have with her. Excuse the chemo fog. The irritability. The confusion.

None of it matters.

Just talk to her and tell her all the things you want to.

My mother and I had maybe five minutes of honesty with each other in the ten years preceding her death. And all five were the night before she was gone.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I know we all go through something like this as we age, it's certainly harder than I ever imagined. Good people on this web site, and probably in general. Wish we'd see more of this in day to day life. Sincerely, though, thank you.

You describe a woman I knew and lost 20 years ago. I was 21 at the time. I was young and angry about the situation. I did not take it well and I would be lying if I said I made some pretty poor life choices in the aftermath.

I wish your family well.

But know this, right now I guarantee to you....I would bet my life that what she is most concerned about is not her illness but not being there for y'all. If things do go bad the best thing you can do is to let her know it is okay to go. Don't say it but don't wear the heartbreak around her.
