These were the words we heard two years ago. It had moved to her lungs.

Experimental, side-affects, fatigue. These are the words we heard today.

The sweetest human who drove me to every baseball practice, picked up after my inconsiderate arse, cut the ends off my bread, made every Christmas special and lives for others... She is the best person I've ever known.

The scan showed the tumors had grown and she's scared. So am I. So is dad.

Thanks OT for the outlet.

My prayers are with you and your family. I hate cancer and it has taken one of my parents and my in laws in the last 2 years.

Rivalries aside, the OT can be a great place to distract yourself and rest up for the harder moments that are to come.

I'm sorry you and your family are going through that.

That third line really makes me reflect on everything my mother has done for me that I haven't properly expressed appreciation for. I hope you've been able to express to your mother how much you appreciate everything she's done for you the same way you've expressed it to us.

I'll be pulling for the best for you.

I've known and lost people I've thought this about myself. I think about how difficult life would have been without them, and then I feel an enormous gratitude that I was so important to people like that.

I lost my mom to lung cancer a few years ago. She passed 1 week after diagnosis. Make the time that's left count. I hope you'll have many years. Prayers for your family brother.

Your Mom knew you were coming into this world before anyone else.

Likely your biggest fan too. Mine was.

Enjoy your time with her.

I strongly urge you to read this. When you have everything to lose, nothing should be out of the question. My families thoughts are with you & pulling for your mother to win her battle. Be there, be strong.

It's a shame that we rarely fully appreciate what a good mother (and father, too) does for us until its too late.
Glad your mom has been such an inspiration to you, and frankly to us as well.
We wish you the best, even in tough times.
