Increasingly Secular Nation Replaces Outdated Religious Ideas With End Times Prophecies, Moral Judgments

quote:

U.S.—The increasingly secular nation has replaced its outdated religious ideas with more advanced, enlightened ideas, like telling you what behavior is immoral and predicting when the world is going to end.

quote:

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has just predicted that the world will end in 12 years if you do not give the government more power over your life. Leftists across the country agreed this is a big improvement on outlandish religious claims that the world will end and you will be judged for your sin one day soon.

quote:

In addition, Lady Gaga pronounced Mike Pence's Christianity as lacking morality, a claim immediately praised by the same people who agree that morality is relative and that you can't judge people based on who they are or what they do.

quote:

"Having been freed from the shackles of religion, we will now make wild predictions about when the world will end and inform you who is moral and who is not," atheist small group leader Beorn Mingles said at a Portland coffee shop Tuesday. "Finally, we have cast off the opiate of the masses and instead will just tell you what to believe and how to behave."

with new liberal religious beliefs. Liberalism is a religion. Let's call it what it is.

There are plenty of believers and non-believers living good lives with a strong moral direction.

There are also plenty of people who project their shortcomings onto others. There will always be hypocrites in the world.

Also,

Leftists across the country agreed this is a big improvement on outlandish religious claims that the world will end and you will be judged for your sin one day soon.
No one is trying to make an intelligent argument that the world will end. The world will eventually not be optimally habitable for humans.

We’ve adapted to live in every climate on the planet. Unless the whole thing goes volcanic, we’ll survive

But perhaps not at current population levels.

Interesting moral question but scientifically doesn’t seem right, there’s obviously a limit to this planets ability to support humans, but I’d love to hear a reason why a more temperate earth would lower the planets capacity.

The concept that the Earth is even close to being overpopulated is a joke. Big cities are overpopulated and some highly desirable areas are overpopulated, but this planet is nowhere even close to being overpopulated.

Factoid: At the population density of Manhattan, every person in the world could live in Texas.

There is no question we are in decline, and it's easy to see that liberalism and it's anti Christian beliefs are at the heart.

I won't be here, but I feel bad for this country in 50 years. It's going to be terrible.

Overpopulation is a much more complicated concept than how many warm bodies can fit on dry land.

God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we, murderers of all murderers, console ourselves? That which was the holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet possessed has bled to death under our knives. Who will wipe this blood off us? With what water could we purify ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we need to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we not ourselves become gods simply to be worthy of it? There has never been a greater deed; and whosoever shall be born after us - for the sake of this deed he shall be part of a higher history than all history hitherto."

I can see it now. They'll take on the task of rewriting the 10 commandments. What was once a simple list of 10 rules to live by will become an epic legalese volume.
