Incompetent Judges ( they're everywhere these days)

I do find this to be true for some people that run but it mostly depends on the district you're in.

I find larger cities/districts may have younger people running hoping to get in a robe for the ease and pension but there's almost always a more qualified, experienced, older candidate who stands out as the obvious choice and will generally win it.

Of course I also see shitty older attorneys who may be in their late 50s and they've just given up on trying to make it, so they run hoping their "experience" helps them get elected

Law schools have become activist indoctrination centers. Those young people running for judgeships aren’t looking for financial stability (primarily), and they’re not “looking to serve the common good and uphold the law ( yada yada).

They are seeking power. Protestors in black robes looking to make “changes”.

Not for attorneys with 10+ years of experience.

It's not bad and the job is easier with better benefits though.

My buddy was just fricked over hard by a retired Ascension Parish Family Court judge

I'm not gonna put his business out there but any reasonable person would have thought he'd win the case easily by dismissal.

The system is rigged in favor of moms. Even deadbeat moms can win easily these days...

I mean, the legal field is pretty broad and over crowded. I think in La. the average salary is like $105,000. There are a ton of solos and small firms out there just squeaking by.

I had a zoom hearing with Trudy White a while back and she shut it down at the beginning because she didn't have a Deputy to say oyez oyez oyez and didnt feel she could proceed. No lie.

So she hasn't even been out of law school for 8 years and she's already been suspended for 18 months. Seems like an ideal candidate to sit in judgment of people whose liberty is at stake.

It’s kind of a mixed bag. One of the older experienced attorneys that just was elected judge is the shittiest judge in the entire circuit. He’s about to lose (I think) to a young up and comer who actually is a pretty bright guy.
