An incel is a weird combination of someone who has beyond zero self-esteem and someone who is acutely aware of the economic and political reality of the rapidly collapsing Westphalian Order. They tend to really have their finger on the pulse of how woke and feminist politics have essentially exacerbated this feeling of there being haves and have-nots, and the incels are definitely the have-nots. They have bought into a lot of accurate information about how difficult it is for men to online date.

However, the problem is that unlike a normal person, who derives self-esteem from love for themselves, love from god, or love from others, Incels only value themselves based off of sex. See, they see sex as the only determinant of personal value for both themselves and others, that sex is somehow both a signal of privilege and a currency in and of itself.

Since these incels aren’t having any sex, they hold no value to anyone. Since they have no love of themselves, or anything else to build a positive self-esteem or mindset around, they just become bitter, angry, and fixated on why no one wants to bang them.

The reality is that it’s quite simple to not be an incel:
1. Love yourself
2. Take care of yourself (exercise, basic hygiene, plenty of sleep, decent diet)
3. Dress yourself well
4. Improve your financial situation
5. Develop talking to people as a skill

Most incels see themselves as “too far gone”. They are like a sinner in Judaism, there’s no forgiveness of sins, no true Atonement save death. The reality is no one is beyond redemption, and Incels fail to recognize that a more difficult hand is NOT an impossible hand.

In all honesty, one of the most dangerous situations for a society is a large population of unemployed childless men with no dating prospects. Societies tend to go through violent wars or collapses when they hit a critical mass of these sorts of people. The reason is that those folks have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain from radical action. Societies tend to survive those demographics by sending them off to die in wars of conquest, promising those young men women to take from the enemy.

I see incels as a symptom of real socio-economic problems in need of addressing, an internet community that has grown hilariously out of touch with reality, a group of pitiable individuals who need help and therapy, and a legit threat to social order.

An incel is the perfect example of someone who learns the exact wrong lessons from the right information.

But the phenomena extends well beyond adolescence. And indeed seems to intensify with age in most "incels." By contrast, well-adjusted human beings transcend the difficulties and embarrassments of adolescence, improve themselves, mature, and find partners. Not "incels." Women have found the same basic traits attractive in men since time immemorial. Rather than working hard to cultivate those qualities, "incels" pule on message boards, concoct elaborate ill-founded socioeconomic theories to justify their passivity, and become paranoid misogynists. I truly have little to no sympathy for them.

Most people who are "incel" at 17, 18, etc. will grow out of it. I mean, I was definitely "involuntarily celibate" for a few of those years .

I think your criticism is more of the nucleus of incels that are really in it for the long haul. Yeah, those are not people I want to talk to.

In fairness to them, though, people should admit that Tinder (and disconnectedness or "quasi-connectedness" in general) really has made things more difficult for men below a certain relatively high percentile. I am not much of a stud, but I remember being able to walk into bars in Mississippi on Ladies' Night and pick up women by virtue of pure lack of competition. Tinder has killed that. I mean, being able to filter out the guys allowed to even try to buy you a drink by age, height, income, etc. has definitely changed society.

Is it better? Worse? IDK, as a 5'9" man I'm not too happy about it, but I'm very happy I got to experience a world without that.

There’s no way there is even that many R incels living with parents. In fact, I don’t know if a single one personally. I’m not saying they don’t exist but that poll looks like BS. Also, the incel board on Reddit is like 99% progressives. Most are actually proud of their status.
