A good parent makes it a lot easier for a teacher. However, I don't think people here realize how far and beyond some teachers go for kids. There are tons of shitty teachers, but there are some incredible ones out there.

But what if the teacher is a parent and the parent is a teacher?

As a teacher, I always say that a parent is the child's first and most important teacher.

You would. It distracts attention from you being crappy at your job. I'd do that too, if I could.

I see i'm getting DVed, and it can't just be my regulars

My view is outside of homeschooling parents can't control the educational curricula. What they can do is instill general values: an interest in reading, a respect for knowledge, a curiosity about the world and a love of learning for its own sake.

As a man with a masters degree in education I can’t tell you with 100% certainty, it’s the parents. With that said, a teacher can help and inspire the kid along the way.

Of course there are good teachers.

But, the impact a parent has is simply much greater.

That is counter to your statement though.

You said parents are for morality and teachers are for intellectual advancement.

That sounds like parents are for intellectual advancement.

Parents—but more in the passing intellectual genetics to their offspring, as opposed to actually teaching them.
