You’ll have 40 teachers by the time you graduate high school. We only get 1-4 parents

Parent and it’s not even close.
Institutions have a minimal affect on a child’s life. In Louisiana what people think are private schools are really parochial schools. Religious schools have less undesirable students but conform to standards lower than even bad public schools. The religious exception makes parochial schools even a worse choice despite their better than average test scores within the sate with the lowest test scores.
States that have allowed and fostered public charter schools have had varying degrees of success. In general the states that are willing to spend the most tax dollar per student on education have faired the best.

My view is outside of homeschooling parents can't control the educational curricula. What they can do is instill general values: an interest in reading, a respect for knowledge, a curiosity about the world and a love of learning for its own sake.
You said parents are for morality and teachers are for intellectual advancement.
That sounds like parents are for intellectual advancement.
Parents should be the overall guides, with the teachers dealing with the details
It's sort of like the parents are the officers in charge of overall strategy, while the teachers are the sergeants carrying out tactics

Teachers come and go. Parents are more permanent but a lot of problems are caused when they aren't. It takes a weak family to allow shitty teachers to have a lasting effect. Good teachers can augment what a good family does.

Easy, one's 1st loose girlfriend.

moral -- parent
intellectual -- teacher
These things are highly dependent on the individuals involved. Parents have the greatest opportunity, particularly in those early years when a kid is a sponge.

Correct on first part.
Incorrect on second part.
Incorrect on second part.

Parent. The parents help cultivate positive home environment. Nothing worse than sending your kid to school feeling like crap about their home life.

The parents, and it's not even close. Familial engagement in a child's education is one of the single largest indicators of probable success.
Note "parents" and "familial".

Was this a rhetorical question? The answer seems obvious.

It's the parent. The value of education and the appreciation for learning are instilled at an early age. Parents that value learning create an atmosphere of success for the child.

A parent. Look at AAs. Parental influence is even marked in imidiate families. Eldest children learn more from their parents rather than siblings and because of that start off on a stronger foot. Parents or whoever we look up to in early childhood play the biggest role in most parts of our development
