It’s Alexandria.

And if you disagree, well, you’re wrong.

I don’t have much experience other than New Orleans, BR, and Shreveport. Out of those, I’ll go with Shreveport. Plus they have some of the worst roads in America. This is coming from someone that works in Mississippi a lot.

Alexandria is worse than Shreveport

Alexandria is my hometown and I live in Shreveport (after 30 years in Utah) and I couldn't agree more-wish I could move back!

What exactly does Ellic offer?

Besides Proctor&Gamble, Rapides Parish Coliseum, Camp Bearegard/Ellic international airport/Fort Polk presence, Johny Downs Sports Complex, LSUA Pincrest State development/mental hospital, national Pentecostal power, Port of Ellic on the Red River. Red River Amphitheater, LCU, Alexandria Zoo, I-49/I-10/future I-14(military corridor parallel to Highway 28) and the Ellic Veterans Medical Center?! ….you get crime, oppression, corruption and mental depression for sure.

I’ve been to much worse cities than Alexandria.

They have a newish airport that has direct flights to many big cities.

Also some good chain and local restaurants. Not too far from BR for LSU season tickets.

Go to Leesville, Bogulusa, or Bastrop and get back with me

Shreveport doesn’t deserve the hate that it gets. Outside of NOLA, it has the best skyline in the state.
What makes Shreveport bad is that it’s so far away from everything else.
This is me trying to Hype Shreveport up because I’ll probably be moving there at the beginning of next year for work.

A city like Alex can be an ok place to leave if you’re like me and don’t have to be entertained at night. I’ve got a steady job, a nice house, 2 pretty good golf courses only 10 minutes away, numerous hunting/fishing spots within 45 minutes, some good friends, and enough places to eat out since I only do that about once a month anyway. My 3 kids received a pretty good public education, I can be anywhere in town I need to be in 15 minutes or less due to minimal traffic, I’ve been pleased with my doctors and medical providers. Now if someone wants a nightlife or social life, not much of that. But I’m beyond that in my life at this point.

I know there's a lot worse out there but in the Baton Rouge area I was impressed at how bad Pine Grove was.

This entire state is a shithole. I’m partially embarrassed to be from here.

Is not a City, not even sure it is a town. You can't even get hot food there that doesn't come from a gas station.

Least worst to worst based on crime, food, and things to do.

1. Lafayette
2. Alexandria
3. Shreveport-Bossier
4. Lake Charles
5. Monroe
6. Baton Rouge
7. New Orleans
