Yes. That’s El Gaucho’s cousin. The one with fibromyalgia.

He’s a half cousin really, that’s why he’s so much older.

I think it’s so obviously the same person.

I just wanted to see what others thought with no context.

His name is John Demjanjuk. He’s lived in Cleveland since the 50’s. Nazi hunters in the 80’s claimed he was an SS death camp soldier who was known as Ivan the Terrible, a name give to him by the prisoners because he was particularly ruthless and sadistic.

He was stripped of his U.S. citizenship and extradited to Israel to be put on trial. He was originally found guilty and sentenced to death. He appealed and the conviction was overturned. He then went back to the U.S.

In 2009, the U.S. again stripped him of his citizenship and extradited him to Germany to be put on trial again. He was found guilty of basically being an SS soldier, not specifically Ivan the Terrible (they didn’t attempt to prove he was that specific SS officer). He appealed. Then he died in 2012 at 91 years old. So officially he was “innocent”.

He was the focus of a really good Netflix documentary:

There are a lot of twists and turns. One minute you think he’s guilty as hell and the next you start thinking maybe he’s not guilty. After it was all over I still think he was Ivan the Terrible, but it’s still a debate.
