Every corporation/product has issues and I'm many of us on the front lines know more specific things than the C-suite suits, go on LinkedIn or Twatter and call them out.

See how that works out for you....

This.
Also once the boss asks you “what have you done to fix it,” you better have a damn good answer or better articulate a valid reason why it’s not your responsibility.

That is a message you do internally. Android twitters is slow based on what you read from your boss, put together an email as the technical guy and send it to people internally. Then they can choose to let you fix it or not. This stuff is not hard.

Boss publicly writes that your part of the company sucks
Option A) send email up the chain with the solution (which the guy at least wants people to think he has)
Option B) tell your boss he’s wrong (but then admit that he’s right…?)

I had a team leader teach me at a very young age "if you don't have an answer to a problem, I don't want to hear your complaints". One of the best pieces of advice I ever had.

For the moon techies, tech debt is the result of cutting corners in programming to meet release deadlines. Things that aren’t built as well as they can be and eventually need to be fixed down the road.

It’s also a God awful excuse for a company with several thousand employees.

Sounds to me there's a ton of scope creep and too many projects that have nothing to do with the core mission of Twitter. Meanwhile, the former board members and execs are using said projects to pump up their intrinsic value making the company attractive to investors. Hey, why not, Twitter is doing all this awesome stuff with AI and blah blah blah, blockchain, containers, cloud, python, jigglypuff.

Products...not solutions. Investors don't give a shite, they snort a line after hearing all those buzzwords as that's boring as shite and ask the question: will it make me money, nerd? Of course they say yes and they all celebrate as they hope to get jacked to the tits before the bottom eventually falls out.

Meanwhile the core business suffers and becomes essentially a loss leader for investment. Big company with billions of users so it will never fail.

That's speculation on my part but man its like you seen it once you seen it a million times. Same damn song and dance. So yeah, tons of people who were working on projects that never made a buck and never materialized probably need to be let go. It's a business not a charity.

what an idiot.

Shitty insecure developer who can't write a decent app whines about "muh tech debt" to his boss with 100 million followers and talks down to his boss after given an opportunity to provide a solution.

Then someone on the OT thinks the shitty employee responded appropriately.

Elon should have replied "he's fired and the Mac app developer is fixing it.".

Yeah, and then there's this bullshite. As a cantankerous datacenter guy I love hearing it. Especially when everyone elses apps work great in harmony on my infrastructure but yours doesn't? Not. My. Problem.

Oh, don't believe me? Let's go to the logs, shall we so I can mathematically prove why you're wrong. Now, back to your cube code monkey and learn to do more with less.

Eric was just looking to get fired honestly. He says the apps not slow, Elon says it is and asks for suggestions, and then the guy names a long list of reasons it’s not as fast as it could be.

So obviously the guy knew there was issues slowing it down.

They both look douchy here imo.

He never said the app isn't slow. He just corrected Musk on the claim of 1,000 RPC calls for the home timeline, which is an absurd number. Someone who doesn't know what they are looking at came up with that number, probably one of his Tesla techs.

LOLOLOL

You poor soul. You want your censorship machine to fail so bad now that it isn't in your team's control.

The constant grasping at straws by you idiots is hilarious to watch. You contribute NOTHING of value to anything, yet know everything.

Then why do they still suck on Android? Yea Elon looks like a douche for expecting his overpaid underworked employees to actually perform their jobs at a company he just spent $44B on...
I'm shocked this country's future is as fuct as it is with responses like this.

in spite of all the complaining from the alt right, Twitter is far more important to them than any other group. If Elon can't fix it it will be a major blow to GOPQ chances in 2024. And it is heading straight into a mountain.

Is there anyone you just refer to as the right anymore?

It's all alt right, far right, extreme to describe anyone right of the left
