It's 100% not a mammoth tooth. I'd lean towards a cool looking rock weathered in a unique way, do you have any other pics?

It could. But the sediments it came from would have to be less than 300,000 years old. That's the Pleistocene. That's ain't weathering. It's something else.

Im going to be up there next Tuesday and Wednesday. Going to see the SD badlands into the Black hills into Wyoming and Montana then roll through ND then back to NE

Ill report what I see.

I was warned by fellow campers in KS that it would be hot there, I did not expect the temp to rise over 15 degrees within 10 miles of the place, It was beautiful and HOT.

I should have prefaced that we stayed at a private residence with several smaller buttes near the north entrance to the park

A few things we found

The last image is the little butte were we found most of our fossils, I thought at the top it looked like a horizontal petrified tree?
