Had a great experience this weekend, on a new cook team. It wasn't all white but let me tell you race didn't cross my mind, once. It was all good people gathered together for a good purpose.
And that's what it's all about. People are people, come in all different flavors, good and bad, and color isn't the real factor.
It's about how they act. That's all that matters. The color of character.

I go to Sam's to fill up. As I pull up to the pump, I hear the thump, thump, thump of loud bass. I'm thinking some young dude is blasting rap for the benefit of everyone filling up. When I get out, I realize it's not rap, It's Earth, Wind, and Fire and it's not a young dude, it's a gray-haired old guy. I get the gas pumping and walk over to tell him I like his music. We have a great conversation about music and the era before shaking hands and saying our goodbyes.

Agreed. The color of the skin does not matter. Pointing out race is often viewed as moral validation. I'm sure you didn't mean it the way it seemed. I think we agree though.
