I buy a few of these 80's action movie toys per year. Will leave a nice collection to my grandkids some day. NECA just re-released the ED 209 and I could not resist.

No I didn't. I ordered it new from Lie Nielsen. I had been using a Japanese Dozuki for dovetails, but I really like my Lie Nielsen tenon saw, so o decided I wanted their dovetail saw.
I assume youre talking about Marketplace somewhere in Louisiana and I am not around that area.
I would definitely buy a used LN dovetail saw and chisels if the plate and teeth weren't all hacked up and as long as the chisels were used properly--backs properly flattened and a straight, uniform primary bevel. But i have so many chisels it's crazy. I have a set of Narex Richters, some Veritas PM-V11s,and some Lie Nielsens. And then a set if mortise chisels, fishtails, skew chisels and a corner chisel.
I have some Lie-Nielsen and Veritas hand tools I've never even gotten around to unboxing months later. I know I have a Veritas scraper plane in a box, a Lie Nielsen dowel plate and a rabbet block plane still in the box. I need to order a Veritas spokeshave the next week or two.
I think i might have a problem.

Hell, I even get a lot of enjoyment out of prepping my hand tools. Flattening the back of chisels, flattening plane soles, using the David Charlesworth ruler trick for prepping the back of plane irons. Then using my Shapton ceramic stones for the primary bevel then a really sharp secondary bevel.
Slice through paper (or wood) clean as a whistle. Listen to some music, smoke a j and getting hand tools stupid sharp is good relaxation.

Yes you might have a problem. But there's something about working with good tools that makes the task so much more enjoyable. It's crazy how wrenches and pliers have changed to be better over the years. But the woodworking tools are best when you just find quality ones.
