re: I’m sure the OT will criticize the TrumpRx making a deal to lower cost of GLP1s.

I've had the opinion for a while that fatties should be on a forced GLP-1 regimen. If your BMI is above a certain number and you don't have evidence of some sort of resistance training program, you're getting the shot.

You realize you’re paying for ER and Hospitalization Stays because of cardiac events associated with obesity issues?
Wake up…it is cheaper and beneficial to offer these medications to those who struggle with weight. Because what we are doing right now is not working. We are paying high premiums because of it.
Losing weight is beneficial (GLP1s) for T2D, Chronic Kidney Disease, Sleep Apnea, established cardiovascular disease, blood pressure, and etc.
Artificially prolonging the lives of these people costs us taxpayers more in the long run.

My point was more that a high BMI with evidence of resistance training could be one of those outliers that the OT loves to point out. Of course everyone here has a BMI of 32 because they're built like prime Clay Matthews, not because they have a McGriddle and a route 44 Coke every morning

Stop asking the taxpayers to subsidize you.
Well, they do.
And we are going to pay for it in Medicaid or Medicare one way or another.
GLP-1s IN THEORY should reduce the costs on those programs by getting rid of obesity related diseases to a large degree
I would prefer we get rid of most programs but we aren't going to

I see what you're saying.

Us taxpayers and insurance premium payers are all on the hook for fat, unhealthy folks whether you like it or not.

Regardless of the drug I am glad Trump has been pushing pharmaceutical companies to make the US a favored nation or whatever it is when they sell their drugs without a huge mark up like they most have done in the US.

Much like welfare recipients should prove they are working or trying to work, fatties should have to prove they are exercising to get a GLP1 discount.

I have no problem with this drug being used for weight loss. Finally something that works for people who are obese besides surgery.
It’s the women (and men) who are taking it as a maintenance drug to keep the weight off. Who never needed it to begin with. Using it out of pure laziness.

You know what's expensive? Dialysis solution. It's sugar water with protein and 12 liters is $350.
Now with insirance its not that bad. But they deliver 35 x 350 boxes at one go.
It's insane.

I didn’t say I was surprised; I said it was gross. Just because it’s expected of him doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be noted

I think losing weight has much more drastic effects on people than prolonging life.
Hell, it is absolutely life changing for someone to lose a lot of weight. From social life to work to home life.

Not a public private partnership, and would have been gross if he had named it after himself. You appear to be misremembering that “Obamacare” was coined as a slur
