Has anyone else been struggling to keep water in their pool? Everyday I’m losing about 2-3” of water from evaporation and have to add water everyday.

Only reason we’re watering now is for shrubs and trees. Thirsty St. Aug grass can go f itself. It’s been around 110 in our neck lately and a hopeless forecast.

El Niño rains this winter and next year and it should creep back to life.

Mine is all brown. Could care less. I’m not watering it. The power bill is bad enough. No reason to add an outrageous water bill to it.

Virginia Buttonweed is the only living thing surviving and growing on my lawn.

That stuff is very robust.

Im on a well but I also have a 1.25 acre yard. I am not even trying to keep it green. Not worth it.

Yes, but not to that extent. I have to add 1-2 times per week.

My water bill last month was $60. I'm at the point where it'll cost less to just reseed it in the spring than to keep watering it.

My grass in my back yard seems to be unaffected by the heat. The front yard looks mostly dead or I should say DID but I've been watering it and it has a lot of green popping up in the brown.

I’m on a couple acres. Worried more about long term damage to trees than grass. Already culled a few.

Our backyard is dead though.

Why do you dig in your backyard only at night and what do you have in the cellar?

I have a little yard in south Louisiana. It's only costing me about $40 a month more to water my lawn a couple times a week. Thankfully.
I can't imagine paying the water bill where water is mo expensiver.

A lot of red oak trees dying right now. Hope some go dormant and come back with some rain.

Here's a quick breakdown of some of the issues with non-native turf grass lawns and how we keep them up. An interesting watch for everyone, even those with no attention span. It is about a minute long.

I water mine almost every day. It looks great.

Same here. Hit it with weed and feed in March, then milorganite in June. Built an irrigation system. Water turns on by itself once day for about an hour. shite is as green and thick as ever.
Water bill is insane by my house doesn’t look depressing when I pull up.

ETA I should add cutting my grass and maintaining it is my therapy.
