I was in Tokyo this year. People don’t even lock their bicycles up when they leave them on the sidewalk.

Want to know what they are missing?

I lived in Tokyo for years. Guess what……people steal bicycles. What do you think Tokyo cops do all day?

Seriously…..what are they missing?

Yep. Cant even buy laundry pods, eye drops, without taking 20 minutes to find someone who can unlock the cabinet. Ridiculous

This is not a thing in Collin County, Texas

I think the only thing I've seen locked up in Parker County is some of the electronics in Walmart.

Kroger and Walmart have forever lost my bourbon business due to this.

The funny thing is I've been to grocery stores where $60, $70, $90 bottles of bourbon were not locked up while $20 bottles of shitty vodka, tequila and gin were locked up right next to them. The stores aren't choosing which items to lock up haphazardly. They are locking up the items most frequently stolen. Perhaps some enterprising student could do a case study on why there seemingly isn't a need to lock up an $80 bottle of Elija Craig bourbon while there IS a need to lock up a $25 bottle of Ciroc apple flavored vodka?

I guess the world may never know

It’s so obvious why.

When I see this, it is usually due to that bottle not having a regular spot in the closet. Wood finished series Maker's is a current example.

Is that quicker than just having a dude take the 2 minutes to open the case?

My experience has always been at least 15min wait. Yeah, I’ll take the next day delivery and it’s probably cheaper.

What’s funny is it further drives me to Amazon. Go into Target to buy headphones, case is locked, immediately place order on Amazon.

And if you prefer to shop at Walmart good luck finding someone within 100 feet to unlock a cabinet when you could order it in two minutes on Amazon.

I went to one Walmart out in the county that isn't in a crime ridden area and saw rows of underwear behind a glass shelves that is locked up.

They don't care. They get out and do the same shite again. Cut their fricking hand off if caught stealing, on the spot, and I'LL bet it's a deterrence that's effective!

It's our own fault. We should have never brought them here.

Had a good chuckle as I passed and seen the most obvious of obvious sections locked up was the fake eyelashes.
