It infected 61 million Americans & hospitalized over 127,000, where was your outrage then? I recall the MSM barely mentioning it on the news, let alone having a running ticker of the monumental failure that was the Obama/Biden response to a worldwide pandemic.

Exactly. I don’t even mean for this to be political. I think it’s the media playing to whoever listens at this point. It’s interesting though...I thought the agenda was to simply get Trump out of office. It seems that things will indeed end that way, so why the need to continue fear-mongering?

Yep. People seem to want this omnipotent federal government hand to reach down with wide sweeping rules at a national level. That's not the way our government was designed to work.

Its retarded to have a blanket policy and it's for leaders too scared to make the right choices. But people are too weak to take responsibility for themselves.

Why anyone has any faith in government or any politician blows my mind.

The same people clamoring for government lockdown are the same ones bitching at every other thing they do.

I bitch about the government too. Generally, anything they’re in charge of is inefficient. Why the hell would I want them dictating how my everyday life should go.

Don’t buy into all their fear mongering and dramatic rating/click inducing headlines

Member when they said millions would be dead by now? They aren’t. Member when they said sports wouldn’t happen at all this year? They have and some fans have been in the stands. Member when the idea of playing CFB was mocked? We are playing and while there are some issues it’s generally going to be fine

Point is people will get the virus, a few will die but generally it’s all gonna be ok.

Especially if you live and do business in states whose leaderships aren’t gonna bend over and accept this stupid “lockdown” idea (that we and others have already tried) and personally I feel pretty safe in TN/MS

For almost 3 years I have been hostile to OwlFan when I would see him being ugly to you. I did that because I had to spend a year of my life in a wheelchair so I understand to a degree what your life is like. I didnt like seeing him and other posters ganging up on you because I like to think I have compassion and empathy towards everyone but even more so with someone who is disabled.

Unfortunately I now realize I was wrong. You are just an uneducated a-hole who doesnt deserve anyone's sympathy. I think you are pissed at the world and your only outlet is to bother and be mean spirited to people on this board. In other words, you are miserable so you try to make everyone else miserable.

If OwlFan is reading this please accept my apology for the unkind posts I have directed towards you. Wont ever happen again.

I’m in the same boat. Had to move my wedding from September to May. Not doing that shite again. I don’t care if it’s just my fiancé and me, I’m not postponing again. frick COVID and pussy liberal politicians.

Just have your reception at a relatives house.

We rented a few big tents.
Still got food from the reception caterer (they sent some folks to serve it to)
DJ came
Had 150-200 show up. Some older folks wore masks, most didnt
Next morning, took all of 3 hours to clean up and you couldn’t even tell they had anything
Saved about 2-3k and was just as nice as having it indoors

I don’t want to argue about it but I do think the election is over. I think it was rigged. I think it was stole.

But I also think it’s a done deal. I hope I’m wrong and you’re right.

And just what are you doing to show your non-compliance?

I’m glad you don’t want to argue about it because neither do I. The fact is zero states have certified their election results. Counts/recounts/audits are happening in multiple states. I agree it’s not likely that enough changes for the good guys to win, but there’s still a slight chance evil loses.

This is how govt authoritarians get you to give up your life and earnings for others. Your life is your life and missing out on it no matter how rich or wealthy you are is a travesty

Yep, I've been on 3 trips to 2 different States and my brother an friend have both traveled constantly on business almost since the beginning of this. You'll be fine - go. Use common sense if you have an at risk friend or relative don't visit them far a period of time when you return. Simple as that.

I've already given up on next summer. I'm signed up for multiple running events but am already expecting them to be canceled.

Nah, vaccine soon come, and as the higher risk people get it, things will head back to normal.

Like I said, I’m not afraid to go anywhere. What sucks is that the things I love to do are shut down in some places I’d like to go. Our original honeymoon destination was shut down as well.

We ended up taking a nice little road trip to Estes Park and enjoyed some Rocky Mountain scenery.
