But I've also told him that if he sees someone picking on a weaker kid to step in and put a stop to that shite. He's a good kid... I have no doubt that he'll use good judgement.

I did that and got Saturday PH

It didn't help that the 3 of us who tried to intervene weren't the nicest to either of the kids.

There is a big difference in what Nike did with Kaepernick and what Gillette is doing here.

Sure, Nike’s ad was alienating to a lot of people, mostly white conservatives. And among that demographic their sales went down, at least temporarily. But conversely that same message resonates with the black community and among them and white progressives sales went up.

But Gillette’s ad didn’t resonate with really any major demographic of their target customer base. That’s the difference.

And all that shows the stupidity of the progressive SJW mindset has infected even the highest levels of Gillette.
Gillette has been making significantly less money due to beards being popular and other cheaper and good brands being available.

This was them trying to pull a “Nike” moment, but unlike Nike, this isn’t a racial issue and the vast majority of people don’t like the ad.

Nike is the exception, not the rule.

ETA: Feminists already hate Gillette for the pink colors and the names of their razor brands.

They really didn’t reach out to anyone with that ad.

The boys will be boys part is pretty gay though. Boys fight and get in the dirt. Don't act like we need to stop that. It's in their nature.

That was one that annoyed me too, but I took it different than you. To me it looked like they were making it look like one kid was beating the crap out of another and the dads were just sitting back watching. Rough housing is fine, but I've never seen a dad watch a kid get beat up and just sit back and act like it's fine. So what was the point of that part?

I would have to watch it again too see if it's just two kids playing, but I'm not going to give them another click.

At the end of the day, they're a razor company. Shut up and sell razors. Don't give me a morality lesson.

Yes, exactly. This new norm of corporations preaching morality is quickly getting old.

Take a step back, and think of how weird and out-of-place this phenomenon is.

Imagine if you were meeting with your financial advisor or something, and halfway through he says "OK, let's take a break and talk about how we need to respect women more."

I don't know about you, but I'd say "uh, how about no. And we just stick to the business at hand."

But I guess virtue signalers gotta virtue signal, especially when they've got a national television audience.

That's pretty much how anyone judges anyone else... except for the last one there...

Why would you say that's only how men judge women? Think a little bit.

I can add a few more ways on how we judge people too.

Then teach the kid to fight back. Dad won't always be there to protect him.

My issue is more of the pushing an agenda through advertising. That and it’s anazing how even the rapper isn’t black but the hero who saves the poor woman from a man hitting on her is. It screams white men are evil and filled with toxic masculinity. So pass.

Pretty much anyone of any gender over 15 years of age.

They make men's and women's razors.

Anyone who shaves, largely men due to the presence of facial hair.

Currently, beards are in and many people are switching to cheaper brands since buying a $25 razor is stupid.

Also, SJWs don’t like Gillette already, as Scruffy pointed out earlier.

Let’s also not forget about the movement to not shave in SJW female circles.

Scruffy isn’t sure who Gillette was reaching out to, honestly.

There’s not enough of them to make up for all the non-SJW dudes who are dropping Gillette. The ad is a disaster any whoever at Gillette thought it was a good idea is an idiot and should be fired. And I’m not saying they should be fired as retribution. They should be fired for gross incompetence and abject stupidity.

Right. What about when a girl grabs my phone, puts her phone number in it, then calls her own phone from it so her number is in my phone? Is that not blatant harassment?

As a happily married man, I cannot fathom how one could allow this to even happen.
