Same.
Not a tree hugger, but it's bullshite they can't find ways to work around 100 year old oaks.

If your so concerned, why didn't you bid against Chick Fila for the property?
YOU could have stopped this arbor aggression

You're right. If I only knew

Typical Houma frame of mind. No matter what was put there, it wasn’t going to be better than what was there previously.

Mom’s snowball stand on the east side was legit. Best in town only second to Mae Mae’s down in chauvin

If you're really upset about this, then the folks you need to take it up with is your City's planning and zoning board.

I’m not happy about losing old oak trees but east Houma needs all the new business and development it can get. Industrial companies have left in droves. Entire place is a shithole. Somehow though I am on my third company on this side of town. I can’t escape it.

They removed what was probably a 100 year old live oak in Gonzales.

Let’s not pretend anything on the east side of Houma isn’t an eyesore.

Blame the municipality that allowed it. Many cities and towns and counties have rules on that kind of thing. Apparently this township/parish/whatever didn't give a frick.

Now show the land before the Oriellys, or any other location near there.

I agree, the Heberts owned that place. They had some of the best Snowballs around. They were famous for their Charlie Brown. Chocolate Cream Snowball, stuffed with vanilla ice cream and topped with Condensed Milk. Diabetes in a cup. I was sad to see all those beautiful Oaks taken away.

No, all you need to know is which palms to grease in Ascension. No pay, no play.

Probably the insurance company had something to do with this.

Why?
That someone who owns the land decided to cut it down??

The place is pretty mid to low volume compared to the location on MLK.
