It’s an activity for the simple minded. Look around you. 50% of Americans are worthless and like to do worthless, mindless activities. In the south, that 50% is probably 90%. Hence....beaches crowded with fat guys and gals thinking they’re living the Dream. We all have to have something I guess.

Sun, sand, tans, bikinis, bikinis on tan hotties, titties, booties, water, people watching, waves, beer, liquor, stress free. There’s more reasons but I’m too lazy to list them.

My family never went to the beach growing up. First time I went to the beach was in high school with a friend and his family.

I married into a family that has a beach house and goes multiple times a year. It was an adjustment for me, and 20 years later I’m still not crazy about the beach. After 3 days I’m ready to come home. That layer of sunblock, sand, sweat, and saltwater at the end of the day just isn’t my thing.

It's fun until you get 22-23. Probably when you're 80 too.

You can keep your wacky elevation changes and days and nights that never end

I’ll just be the boring guy somewhere east of orange beach that makes a couple bucks a day diving for big arse sand dollars

And also has a few million dollars in the bank from something I’ll think up soon

Where y’all go? The beach umbrella/chair rentals are well worth the price.

Some places where the condo/resort/rental company is in charge we def. rent the chairs at least a few of the days. It's especially great if they have beach service for drinks.

Starting last summer my wife got a cool cabana tent thing that is I guess around 7 pounds and is easy as hell to set up. Game changer.

Link a brotha

We’ve tried to do our own umbrellas/tents/chairs but it’s tough to beat walking out to something fairly nice already set up for you for pretty damn cheap

First deal is falling through as their financing never happened. I have another potential buyer going in there the day the extension runs out

My equity is where it is at. I bought this when the market was bad. Next time the market is down I plan on buying another. May also get a retirement home for my mother if we find one she likes.

Also, hot moms in bikinis
I assume every male over the age of 12 is enjoying this.

I like to go show off my 61 year old body. In my mind the chicks are all saying, "I bet that man was a Greek God back in the day."

Have you seen bikinis now? They literally cover nothing. I would hang out at the beach every day of my life just to see women in these next to nothing things while drinking a beer. That's a great world.

Only an a-hole doesn’t like a day at the beach.

Sorry you are so simple minded and have a total lack of intellectual curiosity, perhaps it's a byproduct of your zhitty upbringing?

Digging in the sand, snorkeling and engaging various form of plants and animals that are generally alien to many people is actually quite stimulating, but go ahead and live your sad little virtual life in Mom's basement, your choice.....

Well I try and take the family every year as we all enjoy it.

I see you like putting down the beach and Disney...what vacations do you feel are enjoyable for kids under 10? I have 3 boys 9/7/4, sure a trip to the grand canyon is fun for a few minutes, but overall it's not something they are going to go crazy over as their isn't a ton of action. They would love a helicopter ride, but wtf are we supposed to do the other 5 days? It's the same idea with Yellowstone, sure it's beautiful, but after a day the kids get bored.

Europe??? Ever been on a plane ride with a 4 year old for hours??? Do you really think a 4 year old is going to behave and enjoy themselves seeing the sites of NYC?

You mentioned Seattle and Alaska...yea so much to do for children there.

I take vacations with my wife outside of the beach family trip. I will start taking them to snow skiing as they get older. Disney is something kids love and it's a great trip with the family. You can only do it 2 or 3 times before they are really too old to enjoy it.

As far as the beach, my wife loves sitting and relaxing. I love being in the water with my kids and watching them enjoy the waves. I like sitting with my wife, drinking and relaxing while kids play in the sand. I enjoy floating the lazy river with the kids. I enjoy throwing the football/baseball in the sand with my kids.

I enjoy looking for crabs with my kids at night as they absolutely love it. I enjoy playing golf with my dad and brother in law or friends when we go.

I enjoy paddle boarding, snorkeling, offshore fishing, parasailing with my kids. I enjoy grilling burgers and steaks and watching the sunset on the balcony. I enjoy going to dinner, mini golf, go kart racing etc.

Overall the beach isn't cheap though, we usually spend 5 grand plus but it's something that all my kids enjoy and it's something that me and my wife can enjoy because are kids are not whining. We do lots of activities outside the actual beach though.

The gulf coast has some of the best beaches in the world. They are close so I don't have to fly with young kids which is miserable. I take the wife to do another vacation that is enjoyable for us.

I can tell you don't have young kids asking these questions
