I wish I knew. I can't stand the beach. It's even worse with kids. "But they are having fun."

Amazing that this has to be explained.

The OP DiamondDog won't go shirtless in public cuz he's fat and he sunburns easily cuz he is so pale.

With that in mind, please explain to him why a beach might be enjoyable to others.

Here you go. We got the larger one and it's perfect for our little family. We have this tiny little fold out table and a sand sheet to put down as well.

Cool Cabanas

I do it’s just a very subtle color difference.

I slather the sunblock for riding but my legs never see daylight. They are basically the color of paper

Most people just go to the beach so they can spread covid to vulnerable people of size that can’t go to the beach

I’ve left the southeastern United States before. I’m guessing you haven’t.

If I had limited time and money, I’d find something more enjoyable than sitting outside yelling at kids to stay within viewing distance.

These comments always crack me up because it shows the class who doesn't vacation regularly. I say the same thing to people that act like families that go to Disney World ONLY go to Disney World. You obviously have zero experience taking more than one vacation every 5-10 years.

Except you kinda are.

What I gained was understanding people that enjoy beach vacations get very angry when you criticize beach vacations.

Wut? Everyone gave you reasons. My kids and I enjoy making sandcastles and collecting sea shells. We fish in the surf as the location allows. Caribbean beaches have good snorkeling. A lot of the Gulf beaches have dolphins everywhere and my kids get a kick out of being in the water with them.

Do you have kids?

People who don’t like the beach are either fat, hairy, or can’t swim. Period.

So you couldn’t figure out how to find some other stuff to do while there besides just sitting on the beach?

I have to agree with you, they won't even go to different beaches. It's always destin for a week every year. My parents make like half a mil a year and I finally convinced them to take a different vacation. They went to Alaska and loved it.

I love the beach and go to Destin annually. It's an easy way to get your "beach fix" and still have funds available for larger trips
